Brad’s book and playing cards are spectacular. Love the concept, so original.

Those are some nice promos and books. I was a director of photography in magazines (full time commercial photographer since 2000) and before digital we were swamped with promos daily. The ones you showed I would have kept. As a matter of fact I think I still have some of the best promos sent to me somewhere in a file. The size/expense of a promo often meant nothing. I once got a Kodak paper box of ten images from Dan Winters when he was an assistant and we gave him a job that next week.

Thanks so much for the great review! I think I need to find a way to get you those other 2 books- but if you're ever in Phoenix again I can just show them to you! Hopefully our path's cross.

Just found out that I'm not in fact the next Hasselblad Master.
    Perhaps next year...

Not anyone! Only professional photographers. Professional as defined by Hasselblad.

I could be, if someone wants to send me a Hasselblad. I'll cover shipping....

Entered competitions several weeks ago. Probably won't win as there are so many more talented photographers than me.

At 74, I finally bought myself a Hasselblad, and I’m too scared to use it!

Are you afraid of dropping it? Wear it on a strap over one shoulder. Are you afraid of it being grabbed? Wear it on a strap over one shoulder. Are you afraid of losing it to an armed mugger? Well, that’s life. Are you afraid of not taking good photos? So are we all. You have a camera that is probably designed to be used brutally anywhere on the planet. Use it and enjoy it. That’s the philosophy I use for my D2X. Which, admittedly, is probably worth a lot less than your Hasselblad but still very tough camera. Enjoy your life. It’s only a camera. If you lose it, buy something cheap and keep moving. Gear doesn’t matter, remember? ;-)

@@The_Hero_Is_Back You’re right, of course. I could have stepped up to a Canon 90D, but then decided if I were ever going to try a Hasselblad, maybe I shouldn’t put it off! It’s my first fixed lens too, all of which is actually part of my “take it out of your comfort zone” plan. It worked! I know. I just need to get out there and crawl through the woods with it for a week, then figure out how to get the pictures I meant to take. Thanks for the reminder!

By the way, Easter Island is quite an easy to go to. There is nice jetliner that bring you there. It’s an easy way to feel like at the end of the world.
