I started crying like a baby when I heard all the bells ringing their melody at the end of the video, it was as if Our Lady was telling us I survived, here I am again, bigger, more beautiful, more strong! courage ! ....and all these kings of France who contemplate you, aligned on the pediment of our lady! I have goosebumps!
Thank you. We've been waiting five years for this video. And we get to hear the bells. So beautiful. I wish you success for all the work you've done for us.
Bonjour Bonjour Rick from NYC 3 nights fantastic and lucky it’s just beautiful I so can’t wait. I want to thank you for the candle thought for my beautiful wife. Great work.
Such a lovely walk-through! I actually started listening when this was first posted and had to go back to bed! I’m still on Paris time! I loved that you were answering some of the questions I had from my visit on Tuesday and I will be thinking of more. Can’t wait to hear the choir from Wednesday night. Thank you Claudine!
Bonjour from Minnesota! Three nights in a row? You have a serious habit... 😊 I'm SO happy for you and all of us! Can't watch right now, but I'll be back in a bit.
Thank you very much for the documentation. I am torn; on the one hand, they have beautifully renovated large parts of the cathedral, but on the other hand, they have quietly gutted many parts of it, especially in the side chapels. To be honest, I am somewhat appalled by these new murals. And the wall paintings with the depicted outlines of an altar, does this mean that they have dismantled it, or will these be restored and returned to the cathedral? Notre Dame always had a very special charm for me; I hope that this hasn’t been lost.
I am going to go through all my notes from before the fire and figure out what has been removed. I agree and it upsets me as well. Hopefully some of the things will be returned. The new tapestries don't really do a lot for me and very little information on them as well.
53:40 - About St. Joan of Arc, on November 17, 1455, came to this cathedral of Paris, Isabelle, the mother of Joan of Arc and Pierre her brother with their lawyer, to ask the bishops of Paris and Coutances and Jean Bréhal, the inquisitor of the faith, the rehabilitation of Joan victim of a political and hateful trial (1430) that condemned her to be burned alive in Rouen, at the age of 19. A huge crowd came to support Isabelle and Pierre d'Arc. Pope Calixtus III authorized the revision of the 1430 trial. She will be rehabilitated in Rouen on July 7, 1456 and declared Saint of the Church on May 16, 1920. The Virgin Mary, Joan of Arc and Therese of Lisieux are patron saints of France.
Wonderful tour! Thank you so much. :) I only remember Notre Dame in its old form: very dark (at least compared to its new look) but still so atmospheric, evoking its hundreds of years of history. I have to admit, as beautiful as the all-new Notre Dame is, it does feel quite modern and a bit... sterile. At points in the video it has an almost museum/art gallery kind of feel to it now. By the way, if you enjoy the craftsmanship and beauty that modern-day craftsmen and artists are still able to create, I think you would really enjoy visiting some of the historic buildings that were reconstructed from scratch in neighboring Germany in very recent decades. Particularly Dresden's spectacularly domed Church of Our Lady (so also a "Notre Dame" ;)), would probably amaze you. Hardly anything more than a huge heap of rubble was left of it, and, like the biggest puzzle in the world, they put the church back together. All the surviving old stones are now in the exact same places they were before its destruction. They also repainted the beautiful frescoes of the dome, allowing you to see and feel how vibrant and vivid newly painted frescoes must have appeared to people back in the 18th century.
You lead very interesting trips. Just one minor note (about 39.05 - 39.20) This is not "Our Lady of Czechoslovakia", only "Our Lady of Częstochowa" (in Poland) "Matka Boska Częstochowska" called Black Madonna - is an important thing in Poland. Greetings from Poland 😀
What about the galleries? Does the Cathedral put out works of art in there? Tourists can go up to the towers, which I believe are still off limits at the moment. Is the attic above the vaults open to the public?
They are still doing work on the towers. They say they will reopen for visitors in the summer. Sadly the upper floor is not open for visitors. I wish it was :)
Isn't it wonderful that Claudine's RUclips vlogs are watched all over the world. From The Netherlands to Australia. And from Thailand to Canada. Notre Dame De Paris is a cathedral for us ALL. Thanks for all of your accurate information. (and please do not use the word 'briefly' again)😅
You are so kind! I'm not stopping anytime soon :) Follow me on Instagram or Facebook for daily updates :) ClaudineBleuBlondeRouge on IG, Blue Blonde Rouge on Facebook
Sadly that is what has happened to Notre Dame and for the foreseable future. Going early in the morning or end of day is a great time to avoid that a bit
I did feel some warm air coming up from the ground near the back chapels, which have lower ceilings, making them easier to keep warm. If there was heat in the nave, it would be hard to keep it; since the center's Last Judgment door is open and the largest, it would be impossible to keep the entire church heated.

you get it :) Even from the outside over the last two weeks she just looks stronger and happier
Thank you. We've been waiting five years for this video. And we get to hear the bells. So beautiful. I wish you success for all the work you've done for us.
We aren't finished with Notre Dame any time soon :)

Can you arrange an Organ tour with Olivier Larry? He is so personable and speaks very good English.😊
I will see what I can do!
@@ClaudineBleuBlondeRouge Merci beaucoup. I’ll be in paris Fall of 2025, how about lunch to thank you for all of your fine work and love of ND?

I agree with you. It is a bit sterile, and I'm sad so many of the chapel details haven't returned.
Is Notre Dame heated? If so, how? I remember it being not too warm the many times I was there Jen February for business.

thank you so much for the correction and my apologies. When I do the videos of the detailed chapels I'l be sure to fix that. Merci
YES !!!
Good job of going where the Mainstream Media would not, the side Chapels. The Gift Shop was very nice too. Thank you!
thank you! It was so frustrating those first few days of images, not even the French media was showing the chapels

I can't do anything briefly :)
Why are there no nuns at Notre Dame? Where are they?
I'm not sure, but the only church in Paris I've ever seen them at is Sacre Coeur.
🥲 story on!
I missed seeing you this past week. I was looking very much forward to your visits.
I do understand though . . . emotions . . . 🥲

I like the organ. Is there a smaller one? on a side maybe, up high? 😁
💗
🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
Here is a second organ in the choir.
there was, but it was badly damaged in the fire and will be some time before it is restored.
The forecourt will be renovated at a later time from what I heard.
They will be adding over 100 trees to the area around the Cathedral. But none of that will impact the Point Zero so hopefully it will be fixed soon :)
Bonsoir. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🤗🙂🌹🌹🌹🕍🌹🌹🌹
Reminds me of St.Patricks in NYC. Its become a tourist attraction and less of a byulding inrended for the purpose of sacred worship.

Slow down please, you went to fast through the side chapels.
This video is an overview of the inside of the cathedral, as mentioned we will go deeper into the cathedrals in the future.
