My hubby and I don’t exchange gifts anymore, either. If we need something, we get it and we don’t want things that we can’t or don’t use. Chicken and hamburger used to be so cheap. $2.56 here. We just had to buy a new car (transmission went out on the old one) and it doesn’t get as good of gas mileage as the old one. So I’m working on consolidating trips more like I normally do when gas is really high. Your decorations look great, were way behind too this year. The tree is up but hasn’t been decorated since we put it up 2 weeks ago. Hubby has to work Christmas but me and the kids will go visit him at work and we do a breakfast for everyone at the station. We’ve never bought each other gifts for holidays or anniversaries, if we need something we get it or budget to get it. We do stockings for each other though with our favorite snacks and like some bath items.
Does Glen get to join you in the livingroom during the day. I sure hope so. That way he could be close to the Christmas tree and the window to look out.
$4.49 gas. Christmas Eve meal, we don't exchange presents either. We usually buy what we need during the year too. Great food haul, love Santa 🎅 and Reindeer 🦌 outside decoration. Gypsy is so pretty. Your outside decorations look festive. ☃️❄️🌟🌲
I go once a month to Walmart which is about 25 mile drive and I use the app on my phone to make my list. It tells what aisle things are in, I stick to my list and I know how much I'm spending. The apps a great shopping list 🛒

We get together on Christmas Eve day and have soup, sandwiches, and finger foods, so we can just hang out and enjoy. We only buy for the little kids( under 18). This year I'm also cutting off anyone who I have not talked to or seen in 6 months. If you only come around on birthdays and holidays, sorry money is tight. They all live within 15 miles of us. I want to get back to the real meaning of Christmas.
