Crazy how 29 is always such a ringer for denver safetys... that said though our current defense is looking very similar last few weeks... to the point where it almost felt like the same thing! Seeing Megatron play again was pretty cool. I really wish he would've played a lot more than he did. It's a travesty that he played on the Lions team. That Bronco D was the real deal too. Def one of the best to ever do it.

Peyton Manning was 31 of 42 for 324 yards with 2 TDs and an interception. Also, The Lions were in their worst start and finished 6-10 that season. The Broncos had the best defensive team that year when they had DeMarcus Ware and Aqil Talib.
Detroit finished 7-9. Same year they lost at Seattle with a no call on batting the ball, and Rodgers to Rodgers Miracle in Motown. 7-9 was incidentally the worst of 4 seasons Jim Caldwell had with the Lions. Matt Patricia never did better than 6-10.
It’s funny how Manning was clearly running out of gas this season but at least in this video he still looks better than probably 75% of the starting QBs in today’s game. Even as a shell of his prime physical self, dude was just a football maestro.

Two points. 1. RIP DT. A great man all around. 2. This was the best defense I’ve seem since the 2000 Ravens and arguably 02 Bucs. Yes they were better than the Legion of Boom. What made this Denver was their pass rush. Two HOFERS off the edge and Wolfe and Jackson clogging up that middle. They beat Brady TWICE. That second time was the most I’ve ever seen Brady get hit and I was generally concerned. They beat Big Ben, Brady, and MVP Cam. They pretty much ruined Cam. My Broncos were phenomenal this year because of our defense, because Peyton struggled mightly this season. Our defense saved us this year, while Peyton got things together for the playoffs.
