I grew up with Ron. I met Ron one day when he chased me down in my 1991 Civic Si and told me I needed to slam it lower. Went to his garage and he cut my springs. The rest is history. From 91 til now, my guy has been the biggest import car fanatic. RIP SAP!!!
Another one of the greatest that got me into drag racing imports. Early 2000s seeing these guys at Englishtown in my early teens. Mom used to drop me off at the entrance and i would walk in through the gates and it was so fun back then
Man. Ron…🙏 listening to this makes me have all the feels from ALL the magazines I went to the store to buy to keep up with all the records being broke on top of all the hearsay I would hear from the local Honda drag guys (Lucky Mike) about how Ron and Ed were handling their shit and the back and forth wins with Steph along with all the other story lines with Ken/ Battle of the Imports etc…so good. We need more of this guys to document our history. Get Lisa and Gary Kubo on, Miles…would be dope for Dave from Skunk on too to interview for some East vs West talk. This is so epic ❤❤❤
dope episode guys! much love to the real OG! Ron & Ed Bergenholtz! you guys are LEGENDS! I met Ron at FD Long Beach, back in 2013 at the Nitto Tire booth. guys a legend! love learning more about our heroes in the Import Racing scene. and awesome job ESR!

I don’t think we ever found out how he met Vince. 😄
Honda should've did more to support the racers that elevated the brand.
GM did what Honda wouldn't do.
