I would custom specify a Transporter and at the design stage call it Project Billy No-Mates. Comprising : LWB 4x4 Fixed hard hi-top. Top engine ( petrol TFSI 2.0 as this is my fantasy design ) DSG. Sensible wheels with quiet tyres. Overkill soundproofing. Quality audio and computer system. Air suspension upgrade. Driver seat swivels to face substantial fold up table for eating and as an office desk, looking onto monitor and entertainment equipment. Behind it a small kitchen. In place of a passenger seat, a semi fixed bed, with hinged part to enable entry/exit outside through the slide door. Next a shower with good pressure and plenty water, width two thirds of van (not less than half as is typical). Beyond the shower a full size long bowl porcelain toilet. The one third width corridor will have nothing in it but grooves for a single bike and anchors, plus slide along top level pouch mounts. Rear water spray and air. Plus more storage beyond toilet. Soundproofed bulkhead and slide door between back of kitchen/living front area and bathroom/storage rear area. Solar charging for bike and electronics. Lithium batteries. Propane and/or diesel heating, shower heat. So there you are - One seat, one bed, one bike. Self contained profile and no need for trailers or big external racks. A proper bathroom.
