  • Soldiers with the Syrian Democratic Forces spilled out of a house on the edge of an abandoned village northeast of the city center. One of them, speaking into his walkie-talkie, held up his hand to stop our car. The driver, an SDF escort, put it in park and rolled down his window. “He says it’s not safe,” the driver told us. “Turkish drones. The sky is full of drones.”
    In May, Turkey’s President Recep Erdogan announced plans to invade the northern Syrian cities Manbij and Tal Rifaat to establish a 30-kilometer “security zone” between the two countries. In the first half of 2022, 47 Turkish drone strikes in the region killed 16 and wounded 55, according to the Rojava Information Center. Villages have been shelled near daily.

    Turkey is big problem for everyone in the region including Armenia. The Azerbaijans also are backed by Turkey as well!!! Everyday Armenia also fights against enemies in the same region. This is good film. Take care.

      Armenia used Russian tactics, Azerbaijan who is trained by Turkey used NATO tactics and the war lasted 44 days with Azerbaijan's victory over Armenia. That victory should have been a lesson for Russia not to go into Ukraine.

      @@tunatangor8835 Don't be so sure..... Russia has the "WILL" and history to sacrifice MILLIONS of its "soldiers" to win. Recent history has shown that they will do so, while NATO has NO actual leader and little actual "will" to win. Sad to say, but the truth. NATO will fight a proxy war, but won't get its hands dirty. Poland is the only real nation WILLING to actually fight with Ukraine.

      Here's the basic outline vis-a-vis Syria:
      Assad=very bad
      ISIS=extremely bad
      Russia=very bad
      Turkey=vile facilitators of ISIS, al-Qaeda, and a variety of Islamist militias often staffed by former ISIS fighters, ergo, extremely goddamned bad
      The YPG=very good
      The YPJ=exceptionally good
      The SDF-very good
      The PYD=Good
      U.S. Personnel=Very good and damned lucky to be deployed with the Kurds

      Indeed. We must remember that it was Traitor Trump who stabbed the Kurds in the back and green lit Erdogan's 2019 invasion that resulted in the deaths of 508 Kurdish KIA, 1,547 Kurdish WIA, and some 300, 000 Kurds, and Assyrian & Armenian Christians displaced from their homes and forced into IDP camps. All that after the Kurds lost 11,000 KIA and 24,000 WIA fighting ISIS alongside our troops from 2015 - 2019. What a way to treat our most valued allies in the GWOT. Shameful; yet, the Kurds remain our staunchest allies in the region. #TurkeyOutOfNATO #FreeKurdistan #FreeOcalan

    When did America go socialist? It is sad seeing journalist who are veterans complain about Turkey damming the Euphrates. Turkey is a capitalist country, the source of the Euphrates originates in Turkey and Turks have all the right to use it as Turkey owns the rights to the river.

    • @nathan-ls8yw
      @nathan-ls8yw Год назад

      honestly all we see as americans are the turks getting in the way of everything.
      as of recently the turks themselves have insisted and threatened sweden for allowing people to express themselves freely and burn a koran, the very factcthat they are willing to threaten withholding nato membership and force sweden to ban such expressions shows how vastly incompatible turkey is to any western civilisation at least until they stop forcingvthe rest of nato to follow their islamic based policies.

      Nobody technically owns rights to water or land. That’s a modern day fallacy. The gods “own” it. We just use it.

    • @basilkiwan8922
      @basilkiwan8922 Год назад +8

      International law is quite explicit about water rights. When a river crosses an international border, all parties must come to an agreement on the division of the river waters. So no, the Euphrates and the Tigris are not sole property of Türkiye to use. Iraq and Syria also have water rights. Moreover, Turkey has a signed treaty with Iraq and Syria governing water usage from the Euphrates, guaranteeing delivery of 500 cubic meters per second at the border with Syria. If Turkey refuses its treaty obligations on water rights, then it should be subject to economic sanctions. That said, there are many reasons that the Turkish government should be subject to economic sanctions (support for ISIS, laundering money for Russian oligarchs…just to name a few).

    • @tunatangor8835
      @tunatangor8835 Год назад

      @@UnknownUser-fe5zu that is not really true. If I own the land and the water originates on my land then that becomes mine. And if I want to be a little beaver and build a dam on it then by god that is my god given right.

    • @tunatangor8835
      @tunatangor8835 Год назад

      @@basilkiwan8922 now international law is basically global socialism. If water originates on lands I own then that means I can do whatever I want with it. Now if you want to impose your socialist world government laws on me the only way you are going to do that is by force. Other then that it is not my concern.
