I bought this figure recently and I loved assembling it. I love it a ton. My only critique is that the cover for the Matrix just wouldn't go on. I decided to not even put it on because it was such a pain and I was worried about breaking plastic.
Good review. I’m building him right now. I find the plastic to be overly sensitive to nub trimming, like more brittle compared to gunpla. I plan to weather him to hide issues.
Great video. Very informative and detailed and well composed. Agreed he is overpriced, especially when compared to Gunpla. Thanks for the discount tip.
Only time to buy model kits from Hobby Lobby is the sales. Like I was able to grab the special coating Mando for only under $30. If you don’t buy kits on the sale days you’ll be paying atleast 5-$10 over retail.
I honestly don't find model kits inherently complicated. But the fact you have to slowly shave off bits off every piece completely ruins the appeal for me. As for the figure itself, While I prefer the Bayverse trilogy look for characters, I think this Optimus looks pretty cool.
This is by no means a complicated kit. Some of the MG and RG Gundams are pretty freakin' complex though. The nub-trimming is just part of the process and it does take a lot of time. Personally, I like the more mechanical versions of the Transformers as well.
Their sales are every other week and you get 40% off all model kits at Hobby Lobby. It’s going on this week until Saturday 9/23/2023 if you’re interested. Happy building.😊
I thought it was fun to make but I got so frustrated at the head part because the pieces weren’t going in that I started crying
did you ever get it on? im struggling with this too :(
nevermind! i got it after i put a tiny bit of soap on the peg and the ledge

Yeah that's a very fiddly part of the build

I agree with that, it's definitely harder and more brittle. Weathering would help a lot
I would have never thought you would review this figure but over all I’d love to get one of those
If you can get it on sale, it's worth it. At normal price, not so much
@@DemarcationMedia oh ok

Gunpla definitely are better priced

Yep, they do upcharge a fair bit
I prefer the more wider designs for Optimus prime but this one is okay
That's fair. The wider designs feel more like Optimus
Cool👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
He's pretty slick!
He looks more like a anime style Optimus then a normal one. (From the reflection from the box we see demarcation skinny arms
The Furai line is VERY anime.
Lo voy a pedir de navidad

Bro, do you know how tall that Optimus is?
Basically six inches, as I showed him next to a 6 inch Black Series Clone Trooper
Ya got this from hobby lobby?
Yep. It's the cheapest place to get him if you buy during one of their sales
@@DemarcationMedia oh I buy em when there on sale as well
