HOW TO MAKE YARN LAMPSHADES/ DIY YARN GLOBES/LANTERNS/LAMPSHADE TUTORIAL

Hey beautiful people,
Do you want to make a beautiful hanging light fixture? It's never been this easy and inexpensive!!!
DIY DEETS:
*Glue(Any glue that dries clear will do)
*Yarn (any colour)
*2 balloons
Some water
Mixing bowls
Scissors

How do you make the yarn go really hard, we want to make snowman ones but trying various ways but cant seem to get the yarn to go really hard

Thanks Jason, so what I do is. I use a wood glue that I mix with a bit of water then dip my yarn in it the wrap it round the balloon, then I leave it to dry out for like a day, that's how the yarn dries hard and stiff, just allow the yarn to fully dry that way it gets really hard and will maintain that shape for a long time, I hope this answers your question Jason😊

Thanks for reply, so wood glue is best is it as I'm using just a normal pva but I'm soaking the yarn and it's making a he'll of a mess and taking ages to dry and not really going very firm

@@jasonhorseman3041 yes! Wood glue is the best, not any other glue. Over here the wood glue I use is called Ponal wood glue.

Good idea but I think you should put something on your carpet to protect it.

Thank you Janny for noticing this ... it's actually true, glue went on the carpet while making this, turned out abit messy i'd actually recommend doing this when standing over a sink or putting something on the carpet like you say💓💓💓

I just made my first one today using twine and I gotta say you make it look way too easy and the wrap on yours is very even all over! Mine kept slipping around and getting tangled, I unwound the twine, bad idea! It did come out OK in the end I think. We'll find out when it's dry I suppose. Thanks

Hey Xavier, thank you so much 😍 I used ponal wood glue... It's a white liquid glue used to bind woods together... You can find it most hardware stores ...
