    I’ve had a flir 75im and it has been flogged and hasn’t missed a beat. Way more accurate then the fluke we have at work which was actually surprising

    Hey man I really appreciate your video. I’ve been a fluke guy but I’m interested in the FLIR brand. I would like to see amperage and voltages readings in series with a comparable fluke in this price range. Also I’m curious about which of the lower models are just rebranded economical meters? I suspect there is a point in the lineup which becomes FLIR proprietary designs as you go up the ladder. I’ve always wanted a Fluke 189 with some milliamperes rated probes as my background is low voltage electrical but I also tune and align transceivers as a hobby. Thanks again I did hit that subscription button. Keep it funky and don’t let the smoke out.

      Thanks Enrique Paz for watching and joining the channel. FLIR makes very high quality test instruments, and the DM92 multimeter displayed in the video is no different. On any level FLIR multimeters will hold its own against any multimeter on the market. . . and yes including FLUKE !! I owned this meter almost 5 years never had any issues. I also had taken critical measurements of all sorts using this instrument and it performed FLAWLESSLY. I’ll try and think 🤔 a video to do performing the measurements you’re inquiring about. But I know it won’t be done ✅ in the very near future. I have several videos that are completed and waiting to be uploaded to RUclips and my on work I’ll try to find the time to get it done for you. Also I see that you’re interested in the FLUKE 189 that’s a really nice meter, but it’s older technology. Fluke had made a multimeter called the Fluke 189 II, it looks exactly like the Fluke 287 or 289 digital multimeter. And if you can’t locate the Fluke 189 II digital multimeter why not consider the Fluke 287 digital multimeter it was made for the electronics professional. Thanks again for your commentary, subscribing, and watching the video. Also I won’t let any of the smoke 💨 out 😃

    What's your opinion on the screen scratch resistance compared to a comparable Fluke model? I've been seeing reviews with complaints saying the FLIR screen scratches very easily compared to other brands.

      Well I never have that problem , I purchase screen protectors for smart phones 📱 and immediately apply the on the screen 📺 of all my multimeters and any other testers that I own that have screens. You may have to do some modifications but it’ll work.

      @@TheElectriciansToolChannel The screen protector is a great idea and seems like a no-brainer! Explains why I never thought of that, haha!

    No min/max or crest mode. And the diode mode is 2V only, many multimeters are 3V nowadays.

      @TheElectriciansToolChannel  4 года назад

      It does have a min/max feature. It doesn’t have the crest feature.

      @@TheElectriciansToolChannel I checked the manual www.flir.com/globalassets/imported-assets/document/flir-dm92-user-manual.pdf I found it now, somewhere very deep in the menus, too bad. Otherwise very nice meter!

      Yes sir it does, i at the bottom of the display screen when the unit is on there are various electrical symbols that you use the toggle arrows located in the center of the meter above the dial to scroll across the measurement feature you desire then press the OK button. It’s a feature packed multimeter well built highly accurate also, the only thing I don’t like is you have to learn or relearn the meaning of those symbols. Other than that I think it’s a darn good multimeter.

      RPd , take a look at my recent posted video clip entitled ( FLIR DM92 vs FLUKE 27/2 ) the icons on the FLIR at the bottom of the display screen.

    Did you purchased it with certificate of calibration? So much different in price between calibrated with non calibrated.

    • @TheElectriciansToolChannel
      @TheElectriciansToolChannel  3 года назад

      Yeah Harry it came with the standard certificate of calibration from the manufacturer when you first purchase meters from a reputable company. But I still got a great deal, I purchased it very much under retail price. Harry if you like electrician tools don’t forget to subscribe to this channel, I have over 215 plus videos posted and more on the way so don’t miss out. Thanks, take care.👍🏿

      FLUKE 289 of course. ..

      so what makes flir inferior to fluke? i am trying to decide wheter to get fluke 87V max or this flir dm93

    • @TheElectriciansToolChannel
      @TheElectriciansToolChannel  3 года назад

      FLUKE 289 is the ultimate multimeter , just about every other graphical multimeter out there copied their design from the FLUKE289. Flit makes a great multimeter also but even their top of the line multimeter doesn’t come close to the 289.
