worked on cars a long time and i never knew this tool existed. Just goes to show you that no one knows it all. Thank you for your time that was awesome.
How did you work on the door springs before knowing of the tool? The ones I brought kept bending and making them unable to fully compress the spring & fit them back
Thank you Steve. Thank you for the efforts you've spent in making those videos. And thanks for sharing your experiences with us. Waiting for your next vid.👍
I bought a cheap spring tool from amazon and it bent on first use. Didn't work. Had to go back to old school way pry bars and screw drivers. I'm gonna order this one , looks way better made.
I had the same experience with the $10ish ones on Amazon. They sell the same one at Advance Auto Parts. The one he used is $26 and appears to be more sturdy.
@@MrOiram46 I did order this 1, but haven't used it yet. What I can say is it's a little thicker gauge metal than that cheap 1 that I first bought that was half the price.

I wish I had a tool like that when my spring popped out. on my chevelle
There's a link in description area to get yourself the one I am using in video. It's a must have if found own classic cars as the bushings do wear.
Thanks for the link bro 😎
Glad to help!
Thank you for a clear and precise video. That being said, I'm still a bit unsure exactly what knob/tooth to put it on when replacing it. :/
Once you remove the spring, It should be clear where it needs to be put on.
