Sheng-xiang Band - Mother Mound "I-Village"

With writing that remains inextricably linked to agricultural society and observations that remain focused on human relations across generations, Lin Sheng-xiang sings about the true situation of every rural village. Lin Sheng-xiang sings with an even more tender attitude. At the recording sessions, Sheng-xiang’s six-string yu-qin, Ken Ohtake’s acoustic guitar, Toru Hayakawa’s bass, and Wu Zeng-jun’s percussion constructed vivid scenes of I-Village through joyful improvisational composition. As one splendid musical curtain after another is raised, we hear an even more gentle singing voice, an even more tight band, and an even more free creative vocabulary.

这歌真的听得我很感动，当然可能也会让一些不懂客家话的人听得一头雾水……
一开始并不明白这歌为什么叫「化胎」，不明白指的是什么东西，当我看到英文翻译为mother mound时我才理解过来，胎是母亲肚皮下隆起的小山丘。
「係半路涯人生落败，惊涯唔值得，阿姆供涯蓄涯」，一直不明白这里的「係」为什么在国语里面是“如果”的意思，最通常的意思就是“是”，最近才发觉我们经常挂在口头的「係讲」不就是“如果（这么）说”的意思吗？粤语里面的“係咁嘅话”也是类似的表达，语言之间的联系真的太奇妙了。
「蓄」在客家话里面是「养」或者「存」的意思，我记得以前不听话不懂事，惹得我妈很失望，她会说「你恁唔听话，涯蓄到你按大做麦介…」
