Yara Shahidi has the poise and beauty for the role and is around the right age to play the Queen of Khemet (Egypt), but not sure if she'd have the screen presence to embody the Queen of the Damned.
Makes sense for Akasha to be played by a Black woman early Egyptian were from kemet pictures on the walls and statues proves that and Aaliyah's performance is the only thing worth watching in Queen of the damned
Technically, Akasha wasn't from Kemet, she was from Uruk (Iraq). She was brought to Kemet to marry Enkil because he didn't have any sisters to marry, which was the custom for royalty at the time.
