- Everton fended off a determined Stoke City fightback to earn a win courtesy of Tim Cahill's header in September 2008. Yakubu and Victor Anichebe had given the Blues the lead before the hosts fought back, only for Cahill to net the winner and get David Moyes' men all three points.

Cahill my favourite ever player. He had everything you wanted in a player. Those were the days been an evertonian was a complete joy. Bring back the good old days!
Remember this game fondly, but do not remember that Yakubu goal... what a finisher
Bring back these Everton days
Favourite player ever 💙🇦🇺🇦🇺
Loved it when Moyes came and sat down amongst us, we had great banter with him all with good humour. Now if it had been Wenger.........The side we had then was full of grit and determination which allowed us to consolidate our premiership status, fast forward 7 years and i was at Goodison(3-4) watching a totally different Stoke side that played some great football and produced quite possibly my most favourite away game memories. Shaqiri's first goal was great, his second was sublime. What a team we had back then. fast forward another six years and it all seems like a surreal distant memory. The joys of supporting your team eh?
Stoke. We're celebrating old videos of us beating Stoke.
Stoke.
😂
Under Moyes we knew how to operate ball near the rivals penalty zone, we passed the ball and use set pieces...
I miss 2006-2011 Everton
Wimbledon playing in red and white. To think we still came 5th after losing our best midfielder Arteta, best defender Jagielka and our best striker in the Yak. Anichebe was ruled out after Newcastle with a broken leg. If he could have avoided such injuries I believe we would have got into the top four and won the cup.
I wished we had the spirit and desire that we had under Moyes. I miss the likes of Cahill, Pienaar, Yakubu and all the others
I think if dunc was our manager again we would be better because remember when we beat Chelsea 3-1 he showed so much spirit in those few matches and we were doing really well under him
@@hlinneyefc75 I'm not a Benitez out but if he did leave Everton I'd give the job to Big Dunc
@@jamesdunlop9678 definitely
@@jamesdunlop9678 you should be Benitez out he's absolutely useless I feel Everton will go down if he ain't sacked now we could end up in big big trouble under Benitez
@@liamefc97 The only reason why I'm not calling for the manager to go Liam is because the real problem is up top. We've gotten worse since Moshiri came in and Marcel Brands has been a joke too. I do understand why you want Benitez gone but the club overall is a real mess and that's not down to one person
Those were the days
All we’ve got to live on is memories lol
Wish we had that team now
That team would twat our team everywhere now
back when supporting us was fun
Exactly I miss the team we had back then.
💙
Wish we had players in squad today no fight in today's team
“Congrats to everyone who is early and who found this comment”🏆
I'd love my back 5 to be now
HIBBERT. YOBO STUBBS. UNSWORTH BAINES
