  • I recorded an ENTIRE language arts lesson with Logic of English so you can be a fly on the wall and see what a lesson entails as well as what homeschooling looks like for our family, at least for this subject at this time. We do the entire Lesson 87 from Level C. It is long, but it you were ever curious about Logic of English or wanted to know what homeschooling can look like, check out this video.
You may notice at times that my kids, and myself, can get frustrated in the video. I did edit out a section as it was not relevant for you to witness a breakdown (from both my child as well as from me) but I did leave in other bits to show what real life homeschooling looks like for us.
Please leave any questions below. I am happy to talk about this curriculum because, even though it can be frustrating and take a while to get through, the results have been amazing and I know my girls are learning so much to build a solid foundation in language arts. I'm so glad we're using this program and want others to know about it as well.
✦ If you want to see a closer look inside this curriculum, I have a Curriculum Look-Through video on my website for Levels A & B. You can check that out here: • Logic of English, Foun...
(When we have finished Level C, I will do a Look-Through video on that level as well.)

    ✦ About Me:
I am wife to my husband of 12 years and mom to four kids (three girls, ages 9, 7, and 5, and one boy, aged 3 years). We are in our 5th year of homeschooling and are also a part of a public charter school that supports homeschooling parents while also offering elective classes for the students. We love Jesus and our family and are striving to instill those loves in our children. On this channel, you will find me talking about homeschooling, mom life, and travel tips. Basically, anything I'm interested in is what I'll be sharing with you :)

I have this curriculum I’m on level A of essentials with my bilingual son I’m so overwhelmed 😫😬
ELA was super hard for me in school I’m learning along side him but I am overwhelmed I love the concept but idk if this is for me 😬😬😬 i don’t want to give up because I spent tons of money on this and also because I want my son to not have trouble w English later on

I would take it slow. Don't do a full lesson each day. Go at your son's pace. And play the games. That will make it more fun and hands on for him. I'm planning to take breaks this year and just play games on some days to reinforce what we've learned and to keep it fun. I'm sure you could also call their customer service and asks for help and tips. It isn't easy but it's building a really strong foundation. I also just re-read that toy are on Essentials. Maybe try doing some levels of Foundations first. I haven't done Essentials yet so I'm not familiar with it.

What kind rags are you using for your white boards? Cotton? Microfiber? Wet or dry? Thanks!

They are just cut up terry cloths (I cut them into quarters). We use them dry and it works great :)

I love these kids. English is a ridiculous language.

I agree! After teaching it to my kids, I have so much more empathy for those who have to learn it as a second language.
