It is disappointing to read all the negative comments about Anna!!! After all, she is one of the few to keep opera alive in these days when microphone screamers are dominating the world of singing (if you can call it that) So please appreciate what she is doing!

Although critics don't like her, audiences love her - there must be reasons for that, of course!
I miss you. I want to see you. I want to meet Anna in real stage. I hope you are always happy with your family( Yusif and Tiago). You are my godess of music.

Esta com certeza é maior soprano da atualidade, seja pelo timbre, que é muito bonito, seja pela técnica vocal, que é perfeita.

This beautiful little aria, sung so gorgeously here, fits our vocalist like a glove. Not only the music, but the words are appropriate for her: like Adriana Lecouvreur herself, Anna Netrebko is one of those rare servants of the muses, of whom we see only a few -- if any -- in each generation. I can only say, from greatly humbled experience, that you must hear this great voice at least once in person before it fades, as it inevitably will.

By reading most of the comments below I cannot help myself but to be fascinated by the amount of venom flowing out of so many people. As if this is Anna's very first performance ever, as if she was bad in I Puritani at the MET, in Manon in Berlin , in Don Psquale at the MET, or donna Elvira in Don Juan at La Scala...and so on...All her hallmarks are equated to zero by your judjements but singing of Adriana suddenly becomes her business card which surely you dislike with passion...I am sure, she learned this aria in about day or two, as she is always good at learning quick. So what? She is not singing it as good as Tebaldi...Fine. Let then Tebaldi sing Elvira in I Puritani the way Anna was singing, or Manon (with Barenboim and Villanzon in Berlin), etc. Come on guys, be a bit more considerate/modest in your judgments....Do not show to the rest of us how much unused venom you had accumulated...
@@ian1856 So, if it was a revelation, like her for this role and for her Manon, for her Mimi.and Violetta with Vilanzon, for her Don Pascuale and for her Anna Bolena and , remember, she is now singing much longer than Callas who never sang in operettas or in German repertoire and Anna did. You dislike her now...just do not listen. Put an old recording with her and enjoy....
@@ian1856 It is not disturbing me a bit. I realize, people are buying properties, like to travel and have to raise kids. Thus, Anna is not exempt from.paying her bills. And woice...Those who invite her are the same people who invited her at her prime. So, they let her to do whatever she pleases.As for the listeners...those who watch her from the beginning of her carier, will always forgive her and those who just discovered her...these are not opera lovers, just listeners.

+non voglio me diga uma soprano italiana, que canta esta aria melhor que a Netrebko. Olivero ja morreu, não pode cantar.

I don´t want to support the bashing below. What I miss is the warmth and passion Freni and the likes had. If I attended a live performance of Adriana with the quality I listened to here, I would be very pleased. The fact I dislike Netrebko because of her political views is a completely different story

Sounds like such hard work!!....not in a good way...
Her voice has grown and improved so much after this. I don't like this particular version, but her 2016 rendition of this aria at the Richard Tucker Gala was spectacular in my opinion. It was just a matter of letting the voice grow into this repertoire. Back in 2013 she was not quite ready for the heavy repertoire but I think she has improved a lot and her voice suits very well for verismo.

Heart rendering
Netrebko has a beautiful voice but most of the time she sings repertoire that doesn't suit her voice. I don't know if she randomly selects the repertoire or maybe her coach is not doing a good job. The thing is that when a singer keeps singing the wrong arie eventually that 'll ruin her voice.
voce di rara bellezza, ma non usa al meglio le sue doti vocali, non esprime al meglio le sue qualità, le mancano le mezze voci e i filati. Quando troverà questi colori, allora sarà certamente la numero uno.

Voce bellissima, e vero, in questo concerto, ma non sempre. Interpretazione sensibile e musicale, come quasi sempre, ma, peccato, la poverina e senza fiato, Dio saprai per ché, e questo si traduce in una interpretazione buona ma piana e semplice. Credo che la Netrebko, in piena forma, e capace di dare molto meglio di sé in quest'aria.
After hearing Ricciarelli,Fleming, Tebaldi... this performance of her looks garbage. I do not want to be rude, she has a very beautiful voice but a very scarse technique to fullfill all the requirements this kind of arias need. There is nothing in this interpretation of how this aria should be treated... there is not elegance, she is trying to make those blessed pianos but she fails, and then the legatos the modulations between piano and forte seem forced . It is not about hitting the notes...
THE VOLUME IS MUCH TOO LOUD.

Mediocre .... a good example: Callas, Olivero, Caballe, Tebaldi, Freni, L.Price, Gencer, Scotto, Ricciarelli, Chiara, Dimitrova, Kanawa, etc, etc, etc ...
Netrebko = a normal student of conservatory of music, not a great singer. Not a good example. She needs to work more, the "mezza di voce", the "portamento", "style", "control the volume and fiato" and technique, more work is needed his voice sound throat and opaque... But she is attractive to many ... ;-)

Oscar Grau oui c'est bien vrai et, pour avoir eu la chance d'entendre en direct certaines des étoiles dont vous citez le nom (Caballé, Freni, Scotto, Dimitrova, Ricciarelli et Te Kanawa) je languis, j'espère (!!) que le désert vocal actuel fera bientôt place à un vrai renouveau de l'opéra, qui s'appuiera non plus sur les horreurs visuelles de metteurs en scène aussi ignares qu' arrogants, mais de nouveau sur le beau chant et la musique ....J'attends comme vous le retour des chanteurs et des chefs d'orchestre de fosse (comme autrefois Serafin, Rescigno, Patané et tant d'autres....)

Uno de los problemas de Netrebko es precisamente su voz oscura, pero debido a su pésima técnica y desde luego no es el tipo de voz adecuada a este papel.
