- This aria from the first act of Adriana Lecouvreur is sung here by the legendary Magda Olivero. She was chosen by the composer Francesco Cilea as the best protagonist for the role. Here is a stunning version, in excellent sound, taken from a concert given at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam in 1965.
Quest'aria del primo atto di Adriana Lecouvreur è cantata qui dalla leggendaria Magda Olivero. E' stata scelta dal compositore Francesco Cilea come migliore protagonista per il ruolo. Ecco una splendida versione, in ottimo suono, tratta da un concerto tenuto al Concertgebouw di Amsterdam nel 1965.

Dommage que l'on n'échappe jamais à ce type de commentaires, comme si de savoir quelle est la meilleure interprète présentait le moindre intérêt.

Anche la voce della Callas non era bella, ma ciò che queste due cantanti fecero con la loro voce andò oltre ciò che altri con la loro bellezza potevano fare. Magda Olivero e Maria Callas avevano personalità completamente opposte, ma entrambe sapevano, anche con le loro voci imperfette, come entusiasmare il pubblico fino alla frenesia più totale.

Ecco!! Secondo me dovrebbe essere diffusa il più possibile questa breve e bellissima romanza e cantata da proprio da questa interprete che fa parte di quei supervocali che ora pare non ci siano più. Io penso che se facessero sentire più volte queste esecuzioni anche nelle pubblicità come è stato per ""o mio babbino caro ""si troverebbe qualcuna/o che provando di cantarla scopre di avere una voce formidabile! Trovino le menti tecnologiche il modo di diffondere ampiamente la musica lirica, classica, il jazz! La musica è il linguaggio universale!!!

Il timbro della Olivero era di una bruttezza esemplare. Ma c'era tutto il resto... l'essenza della vera artista.
