      @saulspeaks2557 Год назад +2

      Oh man, I do it all the time. I think I've probably done that the past 3 years of my franchise. But here's the thing, you got to play a really fucking deep franchise. I'm in my 11th season. But it's actually not that hard once you get your minors stocked up. Every year, you trade your oldest and/or best players that aren't quite good enough to make your MLB roster for 18/19 year olds. The computer puts a lot more weight on overall than it does potential. You can continually stack your roster every season with very young high potential players while shedding players who just aren't quite good enough to make an impact. You repeat this process, and after about six or seven years, your minor league teams will be number one overall in everything and so will your MLB team. And you have an endless stream of talent going into your big league club, selecting only the very best players. It's a little bit cheesy, but it's not too far from what the Oakland A's do in real life 😂

    • @tylerbrown565
      @tylerbrown565 Год назад +2

      @@saulspeaks2557 yeah, I turn absolutely everything on manual and don't really let the AI do anything other than the game simulations. I go deep into the free agency market and there are always a few hidden gems that are young with A or B potential and no service time. I sign anyone like that while releasing the minor leaguer that he is replacing. Combining that with trading and the draft I can usually get rid of every D and F potential player and have only C and up. I have a really hard time not taking advantage of the idiotic trade AI and building a superteam. I usually make it only a few years in before I start another because it gets old when you are setting the single season win record every year. I keep waiting for them to add a little extra challenge to Franchise. Its pretty much the only mode I play since I can't stand DD online

    I had a guy who tore up aa and aaa and debuted in September of his 18 year old season. He was average at first but his first full year he batted .297 with a .860 ops. And led the league with 46 sb. And hit 23 hr. The next year he had a 40/40 season with 48 Hr. He just kept getting better in 18 years in the majors he won the mvp 12 times. With 2 triple crowns. Batted .400 twice and hit over 40 hrs in every year but 3. Hit 93 hrs in one year. His sb regressed but 20-30 sb a year on average. Only had 3 seasons with less than 100 runs and one 2 with less than 100 rbi. Vernon Morales he was a legend

      @@anthonylombardo4829 i agree absolutely. Like ill use Goldy as an example cause im a cards fan. he falls off like a madman and it makes it unrealistic and just blah. I mean at the ripe age of 39 verlander won the cy young now he’s special but its not crazy that players are good until 35-36 or at least not a 60 overrall. they should use 2ks system. Boom, Average or Bust and have a prime start and end.

      @@the-phanatic-99 2k system is pretty good and wouldn't mind that at all. However, it makes the game kinda easy know exactly when players will decline.
      I think in mlb they should have a hidden longevity stat that is randomly given to players every new save. That way you have some guys that play to 40, some player completely fall off, and then your average players

    Man honestly if there was only one thing I could add to mlb the show franchise is this- so when you edit a player under their age I would like a "second age" and this would be the age that the player starts to regress either that ot some sort of slider because there are players who play 15-20 years might not be alot of all the time but it happens and I would like to recreate with the show

    So do blue chip players always have A potential? Or do they tend to have higher A potential?
    I noticed they’re usually really young and low overall, so I’m trying to figure out if they’re worth it.

    • @FTLnovaKid
      @FTLnovaKid Год назад +1

      @@brendonbuffaloe8830They are hit or miss. They are generally pretty good and normally a safe pick. But some of them can be kind of garbage. Look at Geraldo that Ant drafted. Dude had like 95 potential but took like 8 years to even reach a good level. But anyway it is usually a safe bet and the best option to pick up a blue chip. However if you see another player that looks good it’s always an option to pick them as they could be a hidden gem.
