145 KMPH HIGH SPEED TRIAL RUN between Chennai-Renigunta!! Indian Railways - As part of increasing sectional speed from the current 110 Kmph to 130 Kmph between Chennai (MAS) - Renigunta (RU), a high-speed trial run was conducted today (16-SEP-22) by a special inspection train with track recording by OMS comprising of LHB SLR & an AC 3 tier coach.
Following South Central Railway's implementation of 130 KMPH sectional speed, the Southern Railway is also looking to follow suit enhancing the speed limit to 130 KMPH in MAS-GDR-MAS & MAS-RU-MAS sections.

Interesting, I didn't know the WAP-7 was permitted to go beyond 130kmph. The only ones I thought that could were the WAP-5 and the WDP-4x series. There was talk of a WAP-7HS (High Speed) with MPS of 16-kmph, but I don't think this is that locomotive.

WAP individual are capable for high speed I guess only the wagons they pull have the speed limit
Like earlier ICF coaches have limit of 110kmph like that
Loco can haul individual in 200kmph may be bit exaggeration of fig but the r capable of going high speed
