I can connect head with chest, but only if it's not loud, and even dught I can sing in head with supported sound and some extreme vocals(vocal distrotion) it's still sounds like a well supported head voice, not like a mixed or chest voice, how can I solwe this problem?

Hey Timo, nice video again! Though i get more and more questions, as i’m trying to dive deep into this. What is the difference between low breathy chest notes and low breathy head voice notes? What you call head voice on your mid notes for me sounds and feels like very, very breathy chest. how can we know for sure, that the TA muscle is not activated at all? And isn’t the added vocal closure/compression activating the TA muscle, and thus not pure CT usage anymore? sorry for my complicated questions 😂

Love all of your questions so far! When the TA pars externa is passive ( the muscle that I use for chest voice) there is no tension on the vocal cords in the lower register and the sound gets low in volume and CAN be very breathy. Chest voice is never breathy for me because for chest voice the TA pars externa has to be contracted and the vocal cords close firmly with greater force than in head voice. You can close the rima glottidis (space between the vocal cords) without contracting the vocal cords. That's why you can sing breathy or connected in head voice and we should always strive for a nice firm closure in chest voice.

I can do the head voice sounding like chest voice with the open vowels, but as with most singers, 'eee' is very problematic😢

Some vowels can be a bit trickier than others, for sure! Over time when your muscles get stronger and you find the right muscle isolation you will be able to do it on any vowel you want. :)

start with a vowel that works easily, and then modify into the tricky vowels :)

that tight sound really ails me at times..i think its pschological depending on the gig & monitors..having said that Im only just learning the mechanics as you describe here. TX
