She's only acted for 2 episode but her existence very meaningful tho🥺
Why is no one mentioning how in the middle of their conversation, Ji-yeong kept saying that they will both get out, have a girls night, and drink mojitos. I can't stop crying whenever she mentions it :(
Ji-yeung was written, acted, and executed beautifully. She was around just long enough to get us to care about her, and helped push our main girls character forward in a way that was so organic and emotional. Absolutely best part of the show for me
While everyone else was trying hard to win, they were in their own world talking. It was beautiful and pure how they bonded to the end even through chaos. I only wished they could have had more scenes to show how great their characters were. These two young girls were braver and more selfless than any other character. They were my favorite, along with Ali. They all deserved so much more 😭
It's heartbreaking to think that Ji-Yeong's last smile was directed to Sae-Byeok, the only person she probably considered to be someone like her. Heartbreaking in a good way, yet so sad at the same time :(
It’s sad how she gave up her life for her and she didn’t win 😢
I don't care if she only appeared in 2 episodes, this girl became one of my favorite characters of any show i've ever seen. The message she sends is just beautiful and shows you can always give love in such a dark situation like life sometimes is. I will remember Ji with a smile in the future.
Plot Twist: The "private" island they were on was really just Jeju Island after all.
She deserved to win
The fact that Sae-Byeok doesn't even make it out alive in the end makes this scene much more sad.
She is like the only player who actually isn’t selfish and won’t kill somebody else for her own happiness
Ji-yeong's last words to Sae-byeok,
Jiyeong had no reason to live, which is why she sacrificed herself. But the sad thing is that, in that moment, she found her reason for living; helping her one and only friend fly as high as possible. But when you think about it, Jiyeong is the only player who got something close to a good ending. She died smiling, almost every other player died with their life crashing around them and their dreams shattered. Jiyeong is the only one who was able to die satisfied with the way things ended. Yes, her death is tragic but it's also odly beautiful
Their conversation before the game hits a bit harder:
Her acting is no joke, i mean the whole comment section is so sad that they cried about the fact she died as though her death was real. The details of expression on the face of each actor was so amazing.
Jiyeong died smiling at saebyeok. She never had the motivation to survive and felt her life held no meaning. Saebyeok wanted to survive no matter what for her the sake of her brother. When jiyeong knew that saebyeok had something to fight for while she didn't, she chose to go bravely with zero regrets. The only probable regret was perhaps not having enough time to be saebyeok's friend.
“I don't have anything. You have a reason to leave this place but I don't”
Sae Byeok, Ji Yeong and Ali were the best characters in the whole season.
The fact that Sae-Byok didn't make it either, makes this so much more depressing
