    The work that goes into a business like GPX is amazing. Good customer service, important upgrades, parts support. It is hard for me to take a risk on a relatively unknown bike. It is good to hear that you recommend either one.

    I got my 450r set up this week, recorded a clip on my channel for those who wanna see it riding, nothing special. One thing I checked was bolts, I went through every bolt on the bike, I found a few bolts that were more loose than others from the factory, other than that I had no problems. I haven’t touched a motorcycle in almost 10 years and I was able to put the bike together, took me probably 8 hours with some frustrations but it’s possible! I love the new odo/tach. I’ll be waiting for some more videos!

    Although I wouldn't doubt they probably improved on the stock WP suspension!

    • @LCARSADV
      @LCARSADV  4 года назад +5

      I mean its not totally a copy, some of the frame is similar and the plastics do match, but that's where it ends. Their engines are their own and suspension etc. Very capable bikes for far less, but if you're a racer, you're obviously going for the KTM anyways and so would I. I would say these are the working man bikes that everyone left behind.

    Thanks for the video! Everide in his review stated the 250R had an awkward position/placement for the ignition key. Did they update that too with the 300R or is it still in down on the side where it can be "accidentally" turned off during heavy riding?

    • @LCARSADV
      @LCARSADV  4 года назад +2

      Nope, Key is where it should be now! It's next to the dash where it belongs. They really did up their game in the update for 2020, and they did another upgrade 2020.5 where the changed the plastics to a more KTM style. I was impressed by the finish and attention to detail. Thanks for watching!

    Super happy you've shared you thoughts and experience with your gpx300 I got really excited when they started selling them because like you said in your video the 300 4 strokes are just awesome! And I was pondering on buying a new klx 300 because of the rugged reliability and if ya tune them in right and beef up suspension you've got a fun comfortable bike that with the 6 speed turns out to be a nice bike to plate and ride to and from the trails. But these gpx 300s seem to have much better suspension, billet parts, digital gauges, the rims look tough, and it's lighter than a klx I'm sure. And it comes with turn signals, mirrors ect.? Does it have a off-road title or MC title? I figured I could save a decent amount of money and maybe have a bike I am happier with than buying and building a klx 300.

    I had a Husky TE310 and felt like power was still lacking. Wondering how it compares to one of those bikes. I think beta has hit the sweet spot with their 390.

    • @LCARSADV
      @LCARSADV  4 года назад

      This bike has some good pull to it. It can wheelie pretty good but not power wheelie easily from any rpm like a high performance engine, there is a trade off when you choose a bike with a high performance engine and that is rebuilds. This engine seems to have the best of both worlds. Strong pull and long maintenance intervals. I really do like this engine.

    I recently started comparing the GPX 300r, klx 300 and the crf 300l. They are all priced around the same, within a few hundred bucks. This gpx really isnt that cheap when you compare it to these other bikes. When it comes down to pulling the trigger though I think the GPX has the best suspension, I just wish the enduro kit came on the bike and not just included with it. Waiting for the next shipment of these bikes to come in, already have a 300r on reserve.

  • @donaldgrant9067

    Nice bike, but one thing I noticed is all the bikes today restrict the exhaust. I have another brand of Chinese bike and it's a 250cc 2 stroke. And the first thing I noticed was that after the expansion chamber it was choked down to a pipe that is only about 1" in diameter and that is the out side. In fact I just check it with my Calipers and it is 1.09 inches. Now if you look back at older bikes they were about an 1.5 size or greater. So why is it that manufacturer are choking off these bikes? Even my cheap Appollo the exhaust system seem small. And if you bike can't get the exhaust out it can't take anything in. If it is restricted then the exhaust from one stroke can't get out fully then it has to try and burn the next stroke with carbon from the first stroke still in there. That ruins the performance of you engine. And in another video I saw on here, I believe you can find it if you type in "Rebuilding the upper end of my KTM after 20 hours", but anyway there was a lot of carbon build up on that piston and a piece of the carbon build up dislodged and got into the piston rings and it no longer got a good seal with the cylinder and it acted like the rings were warn out. So when I get the money together I'm taking mine down to a fab shop that does mig and tig welding and replacing that pipe with an 1.5 ID piece of pipe. Just my thought on bikes today.

    Does the engine flame-out easily or can you tractor slowly without it stalling?

    • @LCARSADV
      @LCARSADV  3 года назад

      Flame out were rare, and yes she tractors very nicely. Unfortunetly all modern FI 4 strokes suffer from flame outs, the worst one I rode was a Honda crf450l and holy crap that thing flamed out in really crappy situations, but the GPX was pretty solid. It's ocassional, and maybe it's fixed in 22's, but an AOF clutch helps that.

    Nice review but that tool kit I absolute hate 12 point it should come with 6 point wrench's after all I'm sure this bike has with nothing but 6 point nuts and bolts and it could used a Hydraulic Clutch and OMG that Front Brake Line look a to a bit to weak which seem need a stiffer thicker plastic housing so that follow the front shock travel in line to bad the dash doesn't have water temp gauge and not a fan of those type of brush guard and plastic skid plate

    • @LCARSADV
      @LCARSADV  3 года назад

      Thanks! The tool kit is honestly the best tool kit I have ever had come with a bike by far! My crf250l came with an Allen wrench. It’s actually the same tool kit that comes with a KTM! That’s it lol! The clutch pull is super smooth and easy, actually easier than a hydraulic if you ask me, but I suppose that is preference. Yeah I agree the front brake line needs to be stiffer and they are addressing that. I had to get some black pex to stiffen it. Not many enduro bikes if any have a water temp gauge, you could easily add one though.
