    My problem with atheistic existentialism is it still presupposes meaning in life even within the very act of denying it. For instance, staring unflinchingly into the nihilistic abyss of meaningless nothingness without going crazy or giving into despair and committing suicide is considered "heroic" and presupposed as better in someway than insanity, suicide or worst of all belief in God and a meaningful existence. But if life is truly meaningless like the Existentialist would have us believe, then there is no such thing as heroism or cowardice and one is definitely no better or worse than the other bc there is no such thing as better or worse bc there is no such thing as value. To say something is better or more heroic than something else is an utterly meaningless statement. For there to be things or concepts with any kind of immutable value would mean that there are transcendent ideals higher than man's own existence and the only being capable of creating and determining the value of such transcendent ideals higher than humanity is a being who is himself transcendent and higher than humanity, i.e. a creator God. Otherwise your "meaning" is meaningless. Your "heroic stand" in the face of " meaningless absurdity" is as equally meaningless and devoid of any value as the neurotic's retreat into insanity and the Christians' retreat to faith. Your "point" is therefore pointless.

    Hmmm.. absurd is a reaction, like a muscle twitch. But Humans by nature are designed to respond because of our rationality. The best guide to absurdity and muscle twitch could be rum. I bet you, Sisyphus was given a cartwheel to make it easy but he refuses to use it because of his pride and ego. We are doomed with human pride but not by the world around us and not by our rationality.

    Suicide is Camus' original idea? Wasn't there another philosopher or writer before him that proposed this question?
    If there is, does that make your work misinformation?

    Even Camu’s solution to the absurd is a poor one. True Rebellion against the absurd is not to participate in it but try to prevent it from working and
    destroy. He doesn’t prove his point that to live is the solution. He merely states it.

    • @lukasfilipcik817
      @lukasfilipcik817 10 месяцев назад +2

      I don't think Camus attempts to solve the absurd. He merely sees it and refuses to give up. It doesn't solve the absurd - and doesn't attempt. It claims that in the face of absurd, a life can be lived. And 'we must imagine it happy'

    Could it be that Stalin was, a good leftist revolutionary and became bad because that's what he trulyified embodiment and the standard he lived to?
