Thank you so much for explaining it to us in so much detail . 38 correct and 2 I could not identify . Thanks to all your previous videos and all the practice .
I just happened upon this video and, being a pretty long time birder, I found this quiz to be extremely well done. I live in the western US so I am not as familiar with the eastern buteos, but this really helped! I learned a lot and I thank you for putting this video together!
Probaby only 75%,and I kept getting the body parts mixed up -a rough-shinned hawk! A broud shouldered hawk! 😅 I love these quizzes, thank you I'm learning so much!
Hello guys. I’ve been an outdoorsman my entire life, having learned to identify virtually every critter I encounter. Recently, on a drive through Easter Oklahoma, my friend and I saw a raptor that left me confused. It was possibly crow sized or smaller with a solid white underside and dark black head and tail. The tail was darkest toward the end of the tail, slightly decreasing in shade toward the rump. I can’t see anything in the posted ID’s that resemble it.
Interesting. I'm not sure what that might have been. Doesn't sound like anything we have here in the mid-Atlantic. I'm not sure what bird in Oklahoma would look like that either.
Hi! I live in the French West Indies in Guadeloupe to be precise. I am a member of a birding association. And last week one member saw a raptor very high in the sky he took a picture of it. When we look at the picture we may think that this is not a common raptor that we usually see like the American kestrel which doesn't fly as high as this one, neither the merlin. The peregrine falcon can also be seen in Guadeloupe but the tail pattern doesn't fit with the picture. Would it be possible that I send you the picture and you could try to identify the bird specie even if the raptor is seen from a very long distance.
I have a video of some kind of eagle or hawk I took last week would you be able to figure it out it’s not a clear video but I’m hoping some one somewhere would be able to figure it out if someone is willing to look at it let me know

This has to be the best hawk ID seminar I've ever found on the 'net. It's a nice summary of what I learned from your videos over the past year.
This is an exceptional resource. I will recommend it to a group headed toward cape May this fall.
37 right, and 3 wrong, or an A minus. Watching all your videos has paid off - you’re a good teacher! Thanks for putting this together!
This was such a delightful video game and helpful identification primer before the migration.
Great video. What a fantastic educational video which I wish students could enjoy in school.
Excellent id test!! Thank you so much❤
Great presentation on hawks Thanks
This video was super helpful, would love to see this for other raptor species too
Thanks so much for sharing another wonderful video like always 🐦👍👌

I've heard every combination of mixed up names. One of the most common is "broad-tailed hawk"
Thank you for a very helpful video!
this is so great for flying birds. I'd love to see one on perched birds, as that's mostly what I have photos of. Thanks!!
As always, well done!
Great video
Thanks!
Thanks for the support!

Awesome video but why don’t we call the broad winged hawk the pointy winged hawk or the 4 finger hawk
