Just randomly came across this, I collect more recent TVC figures, but I really respect the love you display for this 70s era classic! Sometimes we have to go above and beyond to preserve these pieces!
Great fix, I had to fix a helmet, piece missing, used millput, sanded until smooth then spray painted the whole top part of the helmet in black paint to hide the repair, it worked a treat, not something I like doing but it is now displayable.
Once something is so far damaged I don’t see any issues with saving it in the best way possible. The alternative is throwing it in the trash. I could have easily just bought a left arm for the vader and there’s nothing stopping the next owner from doing so. They simply need to cut the o-ring and follow my steps to install their new arm.
The silver parts I touched up with a sharpie or might have been silver model paint. I polished the plastic with Meguiars ScratchX plastic polish. It’s in the auto cleaners section.
@@Kryptosmaster thanks for responding. Can you show your display cases? I’m planning to buy some like yours in the beginning of next year when I move to a bigger house. Any tips would be appreciated. You should do a video about your display cases and the collection in it.
@@vonburemann9942 I’ve been meaning to do a video on the room itself. Unfortunately it’s been a lot slower coming together than I expected so I keep putting it off.
So glad I found this! Thanks Richard, I'm subscribing now!

How did you clean up the figures buffing paint touch ups? Oh to fix the stress mark on the saber touch it up with matching paint?

@@Kryptosmasterthank you, I had the same question.
dude this is awesome
Any chance you know how to reattach a 12 inch Tauntaun arm
Unfortunately I do not possess one in my collection so I’m unable to answer that question.
What happened to the crystal collectors display cases that usually where behind you???
Still there. I moved the table 90 degrees. I’m working on getting more cases. The room is only like 25-30% done actually.
Plus I noticed the lights from the cases behind me kind of messed with the camera.

Be careful now, if Michael French sees this he’ll think your aping him.
He’s in his own little world.
