Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's daughter announces she will drop her father's last name

Shiloh Jolie, 18, has legally changed her name from Shiloh Jolie-Pitt to Shiloh Jolie. According to People, Shiloh completed the name change process nearly two months after filing the petition. Under California law, such requests must be published in a newspaper for one month before a judge grants them. Shiloh, who announced the change on her 18th birthday, May 27, has retained a lawyer for the process. Brad Pitt is reportedly saddened by her decision, as it reminds him of his estrangement from his children. Shiloh's siblings, except for Pax Thien and Knox, have also dropped the "Pitt" surname.
