not a lot of reactors get blood, sweat and tears. a lot got baffled or confused towards the end. i think it's because you were able to zero in on the paintings and correctly interpreted them and they guided you throughout the video. and you actually also got both the visual and the lyrics. it also helped that you already have an idea about the kind of artists BTS are. kudos to you for not needing explanation videos. also, rap heavy albums are in the first few releases (dark&wild would be one of the best resources to listen to). thank you for giving them a chance.

I heard you mentioned the situation of being in a toxic and addictive relationship which reminded me of Seesaw which is Suga’s solo song off of the BTS love Yourself Answer album. Would love to see you react to it one day.
If you wanna listen to one of their songs about the allure of fame and their battle with the temptations of fame, definitely react to Suga’s solo song, Interlude: Shadow! It’s from BTS’ Map of the Soul: 7 album which interweaves a lot of Carl Jung’s theories about the “map of the soul.” I’d also recommend on of their earlier songs, I Need U-it kicked off a lot of their success and is a personal favorite of mine. Make sure to watch the Original 17+ Version (violence not sexual themes) to get the full scope and impact! Edit: in regards to I Need U, it’s also important to note that it kicks of a larger storyline that carries through many of their music videos (and short films….and a webtoon…..and a mobile game lol) so while there are definitely broader themes it touches on and there are a myriad of interpretations, it’s also important to view the characters within I Need U as characters within a larger story-they aren’t isolated, one-off archetypes that only stand to represent certain themes, but full characters that can and have been deeply analyzed as individual characters. So feel free to go to town analyzing the characters you see in I Need U (the same character we see in their MV, Run, and their short film, On Stage: Prologue) as people and theorize about their motives, lives, relationships within the universe, etc! I guess that’s one of the benefit of debuting in a smaller company, all resources and focus was in them at that time. The Bangtan Universe was eventually explained in a form of WEBTOON and they published books or what they called notes. A Korean Drama is currently in the works based on it as well. As I’ve said, one of the craziest marketing plan I’ve seen.

I heard the song for the first time today and I've been hooked. Dove straight into explanations, picked up Demian on Audible, and am now making the rounds of my reactors to see what they thought. :D
So background information on On - it's from their Map of the Soul: 7 album, which is based of Carl Jung's Map of the Soul psychology. Persona, Shadow, and Ego are the three big parts, but I won't pretend to understand much more. The rappers each have solo songs from the album - Intro: Persona (RM), Interlude: Shadow (Suga), and Outro: Ego (j-hope) - which I highly suggest. I think the "shadows" mentioned here and the ones in Black Swan are references to the map of the soul. It's also part of the lore of this thing called the BU - Bangtan Universe - which plays of their music vidoes, webtoons, and album notes starting with I Need U (from 2015) and gets pretty dark (for which reason I have chosen not to go into it and can't explain it for you) but I think you'd enjoy it! Edit: Blood Sweat and Tears also plays into the BU!

Usually, a lot of reactors talk while the video is playing and that they miss some details or some important highlights in the video. I also like the fact that you are not just reacting to their music but also the lyrics as well as the symbols used in the MV. It shows how much passionate and interested you are in knowing BTS. Agree with the comment further down about the billboard debacle and I’m back to watch someone actually respect and care about BTS’ music. I hope people can see through these industry tactics. They got so big in the first place by basically bypassing the media/industry and building this amazing fanbase. "Our Boys" include the master minds behind the stories, their intimate input, the choreographer, the director, etal. They all worked towards a common goal so instead of reaping profits to spend on themselves they invested in the future which ended up profiting them more then anyone could have dreamed. @@KnoxHill You are in for a wild ride. One of the craziest marketing plan I’ve ever seen. Still in awe how good their creative and marketing teams are. I guess that’s one of the benefit of debuting in a smaller company, all resources and focus was in them at that time. The Bangtan Universe was eventually explained in a form of WEBTOON and they published books or what they called notes. A Korean Drama is currently in the works based on it as well. As I’ve said, one of the craziest marketing plan I’ve seen.

I heard the song for the first time today and I've been hooked. Dove straight into explanations, picked up Demian on Audible, and am now making the rounds of my reactors to see what they thought. :D
So background information on On - it's from their Map of the Soul: 7 album, which is based of Carl Jung's Map of the Soul psychology. Persona, Shadow, and Ego are the three big parts, but I won't pretend to understand much more. The rappers each have solo songs from the album - Intro: Persona (RM), Interlude: Shadow (Suga), and Outro: Ego (j-hope) - which I highly suggest. I think the "shadows" mentioned here and the ones in Black Swan are references to the map of the soul. It's also part of the lore of this thing called the BU - Bangtan Universe - which plays of their music vidoes, webtoons, and album notes starting with I Need U (from 2015) and gets pretty dark (for which reason I have chosen not to go into it and can't explain it for you) but I think you'd enjoy it!
Edit: Blood Sweat and Tears also plays into the BU!
If at all possible, I’d love for you to post your entire Blood Sweat & Tears reaction separately-I’m really glad you posted the music break part with the statue because I love hearing your theories and thoughts about it, but hearing you talk about the music and the start of the song and seeing your reaction to the various aesthetics and symbolism would be so cool. I love your reactions because you pause the video to say what you think is going on. Usually, a lot of reactors talk while the video is playing and that they miss some details or some important highlights in the video. I also like the fact that you are not just reacting to their music but also the lyrics as well as the symbols used in the MV. It shows how much passionate and interested you are in knowing BTS. Agree with the comment further down about the billboard debacle and I’m back to watch someone actually respect and care about BTS’ music. I hope people can see through these industry tactics. They got so big in the first place by basically bypassing the media/industry and building this amazing fanbase. It scares the ones in power because they could actually make real change to the way artists are treated and things are run. It’s a real issue and we have to keep fighting ARMY! Fight for the underdogs and the independent artists like Knox ✊

I'm somewhat starting to see another meaning for bst like some artist have a relationship with music or their career and sometimes it can lead to a really toxic state and those who are tempted follow in the chase of success and building a community are willing to, blindly, risk losing themselves. Meanwhile, staying humble and grounded will protect your authenticity and help you gradually find understanding of others and yourself.

Every time I find an intelligent reactor who explains a bit more makes (like you) my love for "our boys" grows. "Our Boys" include the master minds behind the stories, their intimate input, the choreographer, the director, etal. They all worked towards a common goal so instead of reaping profits to spend on themselves they invested in the future which ended up profiting them more then anyone could have dreamed. I like to think these young men trusted in something they couldn't fathom and it paid off. I have to wonder if Bang PD and team can pull it off again. I'll hazard a guess and say the creative juices will produce something different but spectacular.
