Thank you for allowing us to see the Wonderful Mr Tom. C. behind the scenes and, thank you to Tom Carradine for allowing us to come home with him. Such a lovely man and his wife Fay.
I've heard a lot of Tom on Joolz's films. I'm 65 & from the US and I'm familiar with a lot of the songs sung, more so than most my age because of being a fan of music from the teens to the 50s. (This year, I don't want to have no one not drinking.)
I remember watching this last year, but I don't think I left a comment. Such a great video - Tom is fantastic! And thank you for letting me know about that RUclips workshop, it's given me so many opportunities this past year :) Keep well!
ha ha, a blinding vid, many of my younger days was spent in London pubs, but with less bananas and more beers, thank you very much for the great vid. I no longer rely on mainstream media for my entertainment and rely on channels like this! thanks and take care
Take a look at some Spike Jones vids on RUclips. They videos are B&W but the suits are patterned so wildly you know they would be like a neon sign if the films were in color. Compared to US Vaudeville players and Musicians, Tom is dressed tastefully and conservatively.
@@WeirdSide I'm guessing you have no children. I think "Minions" would have indicated something other than the obvious. Barring that, a RUclips search for "minions banana" would be revealing and possibly entertaining.
I don't know if anyones noticed ... I mean, don't get me wrong, he does a pretty good job of the singalong ... but, has anyone noticed that neither the singer, his friends, or most of the crowd, are actually cockneys. In fact, they're what real cockneys would probably call toffs. Public school boys, playing at being cockneys. How do I know ? I went to an English public school ... cringe. Wanna know the worst bit ? I spent forty years pretending to be a skinhead. Now I hide under mushrooms in the New Zealand rainforest, pretendin' not to be nuffing no more.
yes I did notice that, but I think the cockney singalong is just a fun catchy name he uses. The music hall style wasn't just a working class phenomenon, they had some pretty extravagant venues and performances for the upperclasses too!
@@freebornjohn6876 Yes, and I must say, he does seem rather a nice chap. In fact, everyone there seems nice. Although I went to a posh(ish) school, I spent quite a bit of time in my youth in the East End, as my parents were both born in East Ham, and I often used to stay with my grand parents there in the 1960's and early 70's. I remember some jolly good singalongs, especially, one on a Christmas eve at Auntie Nan and Uncle Georges. I have to say, I reckon Cathrine Tate is brill too, with her character, Nan. Takes me right back that does.
In the 1939 film Wizard of OZ, the actor who played the wizard wore an 1890s suit coat which belonged to L Frank Baum! A happy accident from a wardrobe mistress who was an inveterate thrift shop patron in Los Angeles. (The tailor's label said it was made for Baum.)
@@WeirdSide I'm pretty sure I got it out of a book by a movie critic, most probably Roger Ebert or Leonard Maltin. Victor Fleming initially wanted W. C. Fields for the wizard, but couldn't get him either because they wouldn't meet his salary or his studio wouldn't loan him to MGM. One of the great casting misopportunities!
@@WeirdSide No, just one that everyone insists does not have Narnia on the other side of the doors. I probably wouldn't want to go there-the place is probably too Christian for me. . .

I love Tom's vintage music! I would surely love to have afternoon tea with him!
Really nice, Kai! I can't believe he made you scones! Merry Christmas and see you soon I hope.
I love both of you ❤️😬
I just love this guy and his music... CHAPEAU & CHEERS!!!
Beautiful film and a great portrait of Tom and of old London traditions.
An amazing duo of phenomena in themselves. Great subjects.

This was a fun video. I would have liked to be in that pub singing along!
every thursday
Damn, he's just casually holding tempo while talking over his playing....meanwhile the classical pianist gets stopped by every Nokia in existence....
I like the bit where he unlocks the ipad and gets up the sheet music without missing a note
I enjoyed this. I "discovered" Tom over Covid and I'm planning a trip this fall to see him!
I love Tom Carradine and his Cockney Sing-a-long - I've booked him for my 60th! He's brilliant at the Twinwood festival
That's amazing! Have a great time, he is a true entertainer!
OM Gawd, Tom Carradine should be famous overseas as well as at home here in good ole Blighty !!
He is so unique.
Lovely documentary, really 😊
Thank you for watching!

Gutted that I didn’t see him in London! But I will this time 🙌
It's a lot of fun!
Hi Kai, I love these little documentaries! Looking forward to the next one!
Thank you very much George!
What a lovely episode Kai. Keep up the good work.
Thank you!
Can’t wait for Mr Fogg’s to open again so I can get back for a Thursday night sing a long with Tom!! Have a banana!
he's been doing cockney singalong livestreams on his facebook page
Weird Side I only follow Tom on Instagram. I think I’ll do the Facebook thing now though. 👍🏻
TOMS JUST GREAT, SIMPLE AS!

Oh you're going to like the next one, it's right up your alley. Going to release it on Christmas day if I get it done in time!
Confidence = mixing up anything floury without an apron
You're my favorite RUclips, keep up the great work!
🍓🍒🍅I'll try
How have i missed this lovely upload ;a;
Only you can answer that my friend
thank you for this weird side christmas present :)
Happy Halloween!
I love your videos!!!!!
Why thank you!
OMG you really did make a new episode !! bless be that day !!
yes we did!
Be at your show in May at Mr Fogg's Tavern.
Looking forward to it.
Have fun!
Tom needs to go into the Spike Jones tradition. Wear a suit so loud a deaf man can hear it!
I dunno, his suits are already pretty loud

Thank you very fucking much
Awesome video as ever!
:)
Great video, very enjoyable !
So this means minions are actually birtish.

Te sigo desde el vídeo de Óscar y realmente es muy grato ver tus vídeos.
😍😍😍
Have a banana-it just kind of stuck. . . Actually, it just kinda slid into a lot of songs. :)
How do you have so few subs?

Steve Reekie that being said, I would not describe Tom as upperclass
I don't think Tom is pretending to be a Cockney at all. He's what you would call a Chap.
@@freebornjohn6876 I think Steve was getting at the fact he calls the show a cockney singalong

That guy at 14:35.
Joolz brought me here.
Excellent, I'll let him know
Enjoy your stay!
This Tom guy is all shinny but no substance.
Excellent episode, Kai!
This guy seems like the jolliest man in the UK.
Careful, you don't want to upset Tim!
I love this guy!
Brilliant Tom Carridine l know him from his association with Joolz’s Guides.
Yeah you can see me in the background of his most recent video with him
Great video so entertaining....
So very true....
Maybe it's because I'm a lung donor that I can't breathe at all
Tom is a wonderful host!
Have a banana.
A healthy source of potassium
Absolutely brilliant...

Song of the lazy Buddhist monk: Yes, we have no Nirvanas-we have no Nirvanas today.
