HA - Thanks mate. There were definitely times my artist brain was telling me that I'll never finish, or that I was wasting my life away. I think this is pretty common among creatives. The challenge is to move through these emotions, and trust your gut. Sometimes, it's easier said than done. ;)

@ ha ty Claytia. Yea, people typically have no idea how hard it is to create quality cg characters in 3D. It's so time consuming when you're doing everything from rigging, skinning, hair, weights, texture, UV mapping, lighting, to animating, sub surface scattering, and rendering. Hopefully she was bitten by the werewolf; perhaps she could then she could smash through one of the windows after transforming and escape. Though it doesn't seem likely that this happened.
The girl apparently remains trapped in the manor forever and is forced to be the witch’s daughter (the witch also forces the girl to call her “mother”).

Yes. My thoughts exactly. I even believed without a shadow of a doubt. That this could very well be an upcoming PS4 and PS5 game title: It has the structure and quality as such. What a brilliant, lovely short story. I could watch it as a movie. If it were a movie.

@@toysvilltvstudios7576 ;) I did model this house from scratch, of the HM that's in Orlando. I used photos from the web for reference. So, you're right. The story is not HM cannon (the characters, etc.) but the video is inspired by my experience going to the HM when I was 5. I was literally, terrified!

I'm almost certain that if anyone else went in an empty mansion, heard a group of people in one area, went to find that it's completely empty, would have walked right out. This protagonist took forever to connect the dots.
I doubt she would be able to escape the situation regardless, this entity knew of her and wanted her there.
Well, what did you expect? It's typical horror movie, where the protagonist has suicidal tendencies

She wakes up in a place she is not familiar with. Strange, no? Then there is some kind of entity lurking behind her way from the house to deter her from going any further from the house. And then all the even weirder shit occurs as she comes to and is in the house.
Whatever wanted her there brought her there and I think she could have done much about it.

Went there (Haunted Mansion) when I was 5 years old. I embarrassed my mom due to my crying and freaking out the whole ride. I made this movie influenced by my childhood experience.
I knew this was Haunted Mansion related when i saw the title and i love it. Big (HUGE) Haunted Mansion fan, its my favorite attraction at Disneyland and this was AWESOME!

Yes, yes it is. My parents took me there when I was 5 years old, and it terrified me. Years later, I absolutely LOVED that ride. I made this movie in honor of my first visit.

Ha! I hired someone to write that music piece she was playing, and the pianist I hired send over a top-down video of his hands playing the organ. I then animated the girl's hands to match what actual keys are being pressed to play the song. In the movie, she's literally playing the organ music as one would do IRL. @@chrisgallagher85 aw geez thanks and great work on making this chilling cgi animation i honestly enjoyed every single detail of the mansion. Your idea of what a haunted mansion and it's "residence" visually have a very classic horror vibe there needs to be more animations like this.
@@greendude7650 I am honored, truly. You're right on the "classic horror" vibe part. I was heavily influenced by older films of that genre. I essentially made this short film for myself, and built the mansion in 3D as if I didn't have any budget. The fact that anyone else in the world who watches and enjoys any aspect of it, is just a plus for me as an artist. Cheers.

Totally agree. Yea, I made this movie, as if you are in a video game. I'm actually looking to scale up to make this a video game. If nothing more than I would really like to play it myself. But yea - more encounters with spirits and stuff, maybe werewolves as well.

Wonderful pictures, and the sound design... molto bene! But if i can juste make a tiny little critic (even if i do not know anything from audiovisual) the 1st person vision should have been higher when the main character fell in the stairs... well that's all ^^

heey, was it your movie I cannot find..... I think it was short film..... the drone (robot) I think came from another world.... then chased the boy to his house.... hided in his house.... then they interacted.... I think it was either killing drone, or robot suit within..... the drone was round white (I think) and able to fly - and Feds were after him I think... thanks

Sky, I agree with you, and I'm the one who created it. I made this short film, inspired by my first trip to the Haunted Mansion in Orlando when I was 5 years old. I was terrified. I built in 3D, the HM in Maya, then crafted a story that fits more closely with the first half of the ride, which is scary and creepy. Claude Coates, was the Imagineer at Disney who designed all the scary and spooky stuff. This short film, as ALL Claude Coates' inspired. Thanks for checking it out.
