That how I felt when I found avatar I found this song about 2 years ago and it helped me sleep at night and my brother had been trying to get me to watch avatar for forever and I finally gave in band watched (don’t know why I didn’t earlier it’s amazing) and her story sounded very familiar so I looked up this song and found out it was written about her

Volton and Avatar are actually incredibly similar if you think about it! Yue and Allura have their similarities, Sokka and Lance are basically the same people but in different universes and They both kind of follow an elemental theme ( as in the lion paladins and the bending )

It's crazy to remember how I used to play this song for my younger siblings when it was still new. It was an incredibly powerful lullaby, and was among the few things that could settle three toddlers and give our mom some much needed rest. The eldest found comfort in the music and voice up until she was a pre-teen, and would play it on repeat on rough days, despite not knowing the language. The middle one would try to sing along to the various lullabies I played for them, stumbling over unfamiliar words but smiling sleepily, I wonder if he'd recognize this tune still. The youngest is now engrossed in the world of avatar and if she doesn't remember this song I'm sure she'd love it all over again, knowing what it's about this time around. I'm a grown *ss adult now and they're around the same age I was when this song first came out. It makes me feel old, but gracefully so when I hear this play.

Found this song on Spotify while I was sick, in pain, sleep deprived and drowsy. All I could remember was thinking how angelic the whole this sounded. Went through my spotify history to find the song again and listen to it with a clear head, and I was not disappointed. Absolutely love the song! It's very hard for me to listen to this song. It's so poignantly beautiful, but still, I find myself coming back to it. Yue truly is a beautiful character, inside and out. The love she shared with Sokka was strong, but her selflessness was stronger.
I remember looping this a lot when I was a young teen, about 13-14, it was my favourite because it genuinely made me feel like life was beautiful. The gentleness of the song meant so much to me. I also would connect my favourite feminine characters to this song, beyond Yue. I'm turning 21 this year, coming back feels like a distant dream. I really miss those times. As ridiculous as this sounds, this song makes me cry. It was never like that before. It gave me a bitter sadness, but not to the point of tears. AG grace, me to been listening to it for a while now and I looked at the picture after rewatching the show sense I was 7 and just went, wait... Yue?
Kya stepped outside, bringing Jasmine tea to a wheelchair bound Sokka. "You'll catch your death out here, Uncle." She handed him his tea and started to wheel him inside before he waved for her to stop.
"Can you feel the moon tonight?"
Kya looked a little confused. "Uhm.. yeah. It's a full moon. All Waterbenders are stronger during a full moon. Why do you ask?"
"It's nights like these that I feel really alive.." Sokka smiled at Kya before sipping his tea.
"If you're about to tell me you've been a secret Waterbender this whole time, I think Mom would be annoyed." She joked.
Sokka laughed and shook his head. "Just a little longer. I have something to say before I go in. I'll call you when I finish my tea."
"If you say so, Mr. talking to himself." Kya left him on the porch and went inside to get his bed ready.
"You're looking great tonight." He said, looking up to the sky. A voice beside him giggled. It was a young woman, Northern Watertribe from her looks.
"She's right you know. If you stay out much longer, you won't see the sun rise."
Sokka turned and smiled at the woman. "Atleast I saw the moon one last time then."
The woman reached and held her hand out. "Are you ready? We've waited long enough."
When Kya returned, Sokka was silent in his chair, the tea was half-empty.

Volton and Avatar are actually incredibly similar if you think about it! Yue and Allura have their similarities, Sokka and Lance are basically the same people but in different universes and They both kind of follow an elemental theme ( as in the lion paladins and the bending )

It's crazy to remember how I used to play this song for my younger siblings when it was still new. It was an incredibly powerful lullaby, and was among the few things that could settle three toddlers and give our mom some much needed rest.
The eldest found comfort in the music and voice up until she was a pre-teen, and would play it on repeat on rough days, despite not knowing the language.
The middle one would try to sing along to the various lullabies I played for them, stumbling over unfamiliar words but smiling sleepily, I wonder if he'd recognize this tune still.
The youngest is now engrossed in the world of avatar and if she doesn't remember this song I'm sure she'd love it all over again, knowing what it's about this time around.
I'm a grown *ss adult now and they're around the same age I was when this song first came out. It makes me feel old, but gracefully so when I hear this play.

It's very hard for me to listen to this song. It's so poignantly beautiful, but still, I find myself coming back to it. Yue truly is a beautiful character, inside and out. The love she shared with Sokka was strong, but her selflessness was stronger.

I remember looping this a lot when I was a young teen, about 13-14, it was my favourite because it genuinely made me feel like life was beautiful. The gentleness of the song meant so much to me. I also would connect my favourite feminine characters to this song, beyond Yue. I'm turning 21 this year, coming back feels like a distant dream. I really miss those times. As ridiculous as this sounds, this song makes me cry. It was never like that before. It gave me a bitter sadness, but not to the point of tears. As I listen to this again when I'm older, it breaks my heart in freshly realized ways. There are many Yue's in this world, whose destiny was to never be happy, but to pave the way so others will be. I wonder if it's possible to live in a world where no sacrifices are needed, where we are all blessed with the fair chance to be loved and keep love. If only our mortal lives were that simple.
