The best part of the rodent disease is that the ghosts of sims who died from it look like a giant hamster, go around terrorizing and biting your sim, they can even give them the disease! Just from being near them!

I had a pet rat when I was about 13. His name was Skeeter and he was absolutely adorable. He was smart, loved being held, and never bit anyone. BUT I also had a dwarf hamster that was a mean SOB and bit me every single time I fed him, cleaned his cage, or bravely attempted to hold him.
Yeah, I feel like Gray had a pet hamster and is not correctly remembering. Pets have actually been selectively bred for over 100 years for traits to make them tame and sweet pets. I've never heard of a domesticated pet rat biting anyone, unless it was by accident like trying to grab food out of someone's hands.
Also, rats are pack animals and LOVE having a buddy in the cage. Hamsters are solitary animals and will attack/kill cagemates.
For a second there I read 'skeever' and I have been playing too much skyrim
