Thanks for the review!
Really appreciate Mike’s thoughts and drilling down into what kind of deduction game this is. Nice review DT.
I just came here for the Dune Popcorn Bucket behind Tom
Oohhh would be fun for Halloween to pass out candy!
@@Poiuytrew.Q Stealing this idea. Thank you so much! ~Chris
Final thoughts really starts at @12:12
The deluxe version of Radlands has the box-in-a-box; I remember most people (maybe not Tom) ooh-ing and aah-ing over that edition at the time.
Very excited to give this one a try when it’s available retail
Aren't Game Trayz essentially a "box-in-a-box"? Just look at the smaller box as component storage.
Can’t wait to give it a try !
Actually a super useful review
I love Mike making faces while Tom is ranting 😂
I haven't been watching a ton of dice tower lately, but when i last watched a few months ago Mike was already sometimes added and not in the same room, can someone tell me why that is?
They turned Mine Sweeper into a competitive game.
The one example I can think of of deduction with area control is Cursed Court. It's lighter on the deduction, but it seems like there are many similar dynamics. (And I remember Zee really didn't like Cursed Court, so I'm curious what he thinks of this one.)
Oddly, this did give me some vibes of Cursed Court!
Does this have an issue with the first few placements being completely random ? Look free points because i went here for no reason ?
Because you can be bumped out of spots, and it becomes increasingly expensive to bump from a spot, an early find isn't guaranteed points.
I love Curious Cargo..even when I get lost in it.
Glad that Chris actually mentioned it…
This is essentially just museum suspect…now how this review compared to the previous museum suspect one would be…interesting
The structure of the information is more logic-based here, while in Museum Suspects it's random. But it's a similar type of deduction system that I think works great in both cases because it leads to inductive, reactive play to other players' behaviors! ~Chris
@@thedicetowerThanks Chris for elaborating! I actually bought museum suspects right after seeing dice tower review! Although eventually after dozens of plays we noticed its flaws. Thanks for the good work!
Ryan Courtney can make good games that don't have pipes? I'm shocked...
Bear Raid is excellent
I love a good deduction game, but I really dislike area control. Ah well
Is this the Cryptid killer?
I just checked in on my Cryptid and no, it's still very much alive. Enjoy!
I can already see the map cards get scuffed and marked after a few plays. After that it is no longer hidden information which will ruin the game. Ugh...
I’m personally anti sleeves. And despite being anti sleeves we created custom sleeves especially for that reason. So if you want them they are available so you avoid scuffing. 😊
I am also anti-sleeve. But I use 'em in this game.
Man, Tom really hated that game for giving it a high score
?is this kinda like whale to look but bigger?
