I always found these three together just a hair too tense for my taste. Especially the dynamic between Zee and Sam. Like when you tease a friend and everyone laughs but there's also anger there.
A great list! Such fun to see Sam back with Tom and Zee and joking around. I have been watching old Top 10s with Sam lately, and this feels like one of them.
Great lists!... and a fun video! Good to see the old gang back together for this video. The most fun I have with a dice chucker is Las Vegas. Easy to teach... and there is always a hilarious last minute tie that brings everyone to their feet. Bang: The Dice Game and Dice Town are also good choices. For the wargamer in me... the most interesting dice chucker is GMT's Fields of Despair. It never happens... but it is theoretically possible for one player to roll 60 dice in a single combat!
Formula de is our great dice roller. Rolling the blue golf ball is the moment of pure joy. Also rolling the die in Camel Gamble I mean Camel Up is great.
Some favorites that weren't mentioned... Cthulhu Wars lets players chuck tons of dice for combat for a quick combat resolution. Chucking 15-20 dice just feels epic. Claustrophobia 1643 has both dice for action selection and combat. Lots of fun dice chucking here. Batman: The Animated Series Adventures : Shadows of the Bat (or TMNT: Adventures) for the dice action selection, dice sharing, and decision space for how many dice you commit to an action. Arcs for letting providing 3 different types of dice for combat that players can pick any mix of. The risk/reward decision is entirely in the players hand. Burncycle gives players a pool of dice (that increases as the bots level up) to take actions. The catch is that the player has to commit dice to take an action. So, there's a push-pull of increasing odds of success with more dice or risking it with fewer dice to take more actions.
I was expecting to see The Reckoners somewhere on this list. Players simultaneously rolling handfuls of dice multiple times, keeping one or more from each roll, then using the dice as actions on the city boards.
Very happy to see this as a category for a top 10. Great choices. When I saw Sam pick a CMON game I wondered if Tom would pick Massive Darkness 2. I find the dice rolling in that game very tense. Will the monster dice crush me? How many shields? Do I need to spend mana to reroll dice? However, of the games I’ve played that are on the lists I thought they were great choices. One I’d have added was Final Girl but I have played many fewer games than you guys. Very fun video
Saw Sam’s face and the title of this top ten… one game comes to mind. You know it. I know it. We all know it. And what do you know… number 6 with a bullet.
Eclipse would be my number 1. Almost every battle is a stand up event. Ready, Set, Bet, Mansions of Madness, Arcadia Quest, Dice Throne, Can’t Stop, Dice Town, King of Tokyo, Zombicide, and Champions of Midgard, in whatever order rounds out my list.
It makes sense that a lot of Top 10 Dice Chuckin' Games would be OLD games. It is an...old...mechanic. Personally, I love it. I love rollin' dice. I even enjoy the randomness that it brings to games that rely heavily on it. But...this is 2025. All the cool boardgamers are gonna hold rolling dice with just a little less disdain that the roll-and-move action. What can ya do? Just roll with it, I guess.
36:00 - From Webster’s Dictionary: “tenebrism - a style of painting especially associated with the Italian painter Caravaggio and his followers in which most of the figures are engulfed in shadow but some are dramatically illuminated by a beam of light usually from an identifiable source.” Something like that, Zee?
Nemo's War might be my #1 dice chucker. Btw, Mike and Chris, have you seen the latest episode of Best of the Worst on RLM's channel? My god it might be the greatest episode ever! lol
Only on number 8, but if Bang! The Dice Game isn’t on Sam’s list… what is life anymore? Seriously, he is notorious for putting that game on every top 10 list…. Including “Games that are not Bang! The Dice Game”
This is very surprising! Although none of these guys really like it I think. I imagine that Mike and Camilla would have had it near the top of their lists though.
Sam! Let me help you out with your number five. First of all, I’m giving you another die. It has six, not five. And it is one of my family’s go-to games. My wife, for whatever reason, loves this game. Hates the theme, but will play this one anytime.
Kingdom death monster would be my top dice chucker. Not even close but 2nd place would be thunder road vendetta with all expansions. Oathsworn seems good. But I am all in with kingdom death monster and we love the settlement/civ like building aspect were your people are a resource to insure the next generation survives. 3rd might be the others 7 sins. Great game.
Always love seeing these three together! And I agree with Sam about BSG. My first game of it was at a convention. It came down to a single dice roll over whether Cylons or humans won. Literally the whole convention had crowded around the table to see how it played out, and there was a massive eruption of cheers when the humans managed to kill the final centurion. I was a Cylon, and my turn was next. Still my most fun time losing.
You are correct. Ungortunately RUclips defaults to showing far too many and we manually have to disengage that setting on each video. They are off now.
I'm a huge fan of BSG but putting it on this list is just objectively incorrect. In no universe is this what people mean when they say "dice chucking".
okay, i am a littel emotional seeing the 3 OG's together on a top ten. It was a simpler world back then. I miss it.
Man, I love seeing Sam back in this. Your guys' chemistry is through the ROOF here! More please.
Kind of hard to watch with Sam being there since he is a Trump supporter...
Ahhh, sooo miss the 3 OGs of Game Review. Man, I wish there were more of these. So entertaining to watch!
I know you want to do something new, but COME ON MAN, this is the perfect opportunity for the Miami Dice intro!
If Sam doesn't say "Bang the Dice Game" I'll get a face tattoo!
I see Sam pop on and immediately exclaim "Bang!"
Expected Sam to go 'The first half of my list of games have dice in them'
the 3 OGs together again! they all have diverse taste as well
Great lists!... and a fun video! Good to see the old gang back together for this video. The most fun I have with a dice chucker is Las Vegas. Seeing a top 10 with the 3 Old Ones puts a smile on my face...
For pure excitement when someone is rolling dice, Formula D should be among the mentions
Formula de is our great dice roller. Rolling the blue golf ball is the moment of pure joy. Also rolling the die in Camel Gamble I mean Camel Up is great.
Great seeing you guys again...think I might have missed the banter. Plus some interesting choices! 😁
Two I would’ve added, Fortune and Glory and Roll for the Galaxy.
Love seeing all 3 of you back together. Miss your chemistry! I think I watched every top ten you guys did together back in the day
I wish I could up vote this twice, so good to see these 3 together again doing top 10 lists.
If Bang! The dice game doesn’t get mentioned we riot 😂
Fun to see the Three Amigo's sitting down with each other for a Top Ten (some times I miss the 'ole days"). Thanks for the video!
I spent the whole list thinking I’d just be sick if a certain game wasn’t on Tom’s list. Thankfully it was number 1.
Some favorites that weren't mentioned...

Woohoo yeah :D Classic Trio :D And the perfect topic ^^ Thank you guy, really enjoyed that :D
Well whadya know, they got the old band back together. Not watched the list yet but looking forward to it.
How can there be no love for Cubitos? When you get the chance to roll all of your dice. That is such a great feeling.
But there are mostly blanks on those dice as far as I remember.
I came into the comments to say the same thing! Cubitos is definitely my number 1! And who cares if there are a lot of blanks, just keep rolling! Lol
I miss this you guys should do these reunions more often
Seeing Sam reminds me of Miami Dice..loved the theme song too
Tom's #1 was no surprise! Love it!
I was expecting to see The Reckoners somewhere on this list. Players simultaneously rolling handfuls of dice multiple times, keeping one or more from each roll, then using the dice as actions on the city boards.
This was so incredibly nostalgic. The games, the trio, the banter, everything!
That old game Smufzee!

Omg its sam I can't believe that. so glad that he's back
Good to see the team back together.
Such a fun list but I have such a soft spot for Escape Curse of the Temple!
Not seeing a single chip theory game feels weird with such list
"Risk Express" / "Age of War"
for the Knizia fans
Champions of midgard feels relevant with grey Fox games getting ready to launch an anniversary Kickstarter
Great to see the OG team again, the banter and OMG the games picked... this whole video was a blast from the past and I loved every minute of it 🤣
"V" you win Tom! Great for it's time.
I love Dice Town!
There were eight games listed that I want to go out and buy now, if they’re still a available…
It makes sense that a lot of Top 10 Dice Chuckin' Games would be OLD games. It is an...old...mechanic. Personally, I love it. I love rollin' dice. The trio is back🙂🙂

Btw, Mike and Chris, have you seen the latest episode of Best of the Worst on RLM's channel? My god it might be the greatest episode ever! lol
See ya on the flipside, Sam!
Sam knows Tommy from Texas. I live in Kerrville. We played Votes for Women at DTW. Howdy!
Mahah, NJ is very close to where I grew up
Only on number 8, but if Bang! The Dice Game isn’t on Sam’s list… what is life anymore? Seriously, he is notorious for putting that game on every top 10 list…. Including “Games that are not Bang! The Dice Game”
Ok, redeemed… like clockwork
Final Girl, Nokosu Dice, and Magical Athlete, where are they??
This is very surprising! Although none of these guys really like it I think. I imagine that Mike and Camilla would have had it near the top of their lists though.
Nokosu Dice is so good! I also thought Tom might have Andromeda’s Edge on here.
This video made me question if I knew what a dice chuckin' game was
Great, now I wanna play bloodsmurf...
I really wish Mike D could have made it to this episode. Great video, regardless!
Sam! Let me help you out with your number five. First of all, I’m giving you another die. It has six, not five. And it is one of my family’s go-to games. My wife, for whatever reason, loves this game. Hates the theme, but will play this one anytime.

There is something wrong………. Sam and Zee need to switch seats.
which was your favorit Verb and write.
Well, at least one certain 3-way crossover was guaranteed. :/
.
.
.
Well, ok, it was only 2-way. C:DMD
Great to see y'all back together!
Perfection!
Sam and Zee need to switch spots.
World of Warcraft Board Game and Dice Forge would be my #1 and #2 respectively.
Surprised cubitos didn't go on anyone's list
What a good pick
Man Tom let me down, no Arcadia/Starcadia Quest? Those exploding crits are so fun. Still a great video though thanks y’all
sam!! it's sam!! look, sam!!!
i used to live near Mahwah, NJ
I have to add my top 5 because I don't think any of them were mention:
Xia, Legends of a Drift System
Camel Up
Panda Royal
Catan
Giant Killer Robots
GKR! That game doesn't get nearly mentioned enough.
So happy to see the 3 OG's
No Dice Miner?
Tom and sam need to do a Miami dice episode
No love for the old Avalon Hill game from the 1980s? Yeah it’s flawed but you chuck an incredible number of dice. Even got a reprint in 2008
Always love seeing these three together! And I agree with Sam about BSG. My first game of it was at a convention. It came down to a single dice roll over whether Cylons or humans won. Literally the whole convention had crowded around the table to see how it played out, and there was a massive eruption of cheers when the humans managed to kill the final centurion. Sam is back!!!
Is it just me or is the countdown loading screen a Magic Eye image?
I enjoy the older games still being recognized, by the way.
He did not say Mississauga right. lol. It's not "gwah" its "gah"
Massive darkness 2 should have been in here
No Marvel Dicemasters? No Age of War? No Zombie Dice? No One Deck Dungeon?
Tom not putting marvel dice masters is crazy to me. The game fell off hard! It’s still good IMO!
Too Many Bones would be at the top of my list.
Always good to see Sir Samuel Healy. Miss the OG three
No Pandemic the Cure? No Too Many Bones?
Mahwah, NJ
I consider very few of these “ dice chucking “ games.
Too many of these are just games with dice.
The number of ads on your videos is actually egregious
You are correct. Ungortunately RUclips defaults to showing far too many and we manually have to disengage that setting on each video. They are off now.
Good video, but no Terraforming Mars The Dice Game???????? 😢
Take care.
Lil, earthborne or oathsworne same same difference difference.
I'm a huge fan of BSG but putting it on this list is just objectively incorrect. In no universe is this what people mean when they say "dice chucking".
Original 3
Kind of shocked that not Chip Theory game was on any list!
SUSHI ROLL!!!!
How was Dice Forge not on here? So sad other games didn't take on the dice upgrade style...
It's pronounced miss-iss-a-gah. There's a "u" in there though, I get it.
I would add Too many bones
SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!!!!!!!
SAM!
🏴☠
Has anyone played MOONROLLERS?
😳OMG !
Miss it. 🥲 Love it. 🥰
