HOLY MACARONI, I had this kit !!!!!!!!!😊
In 1973, got it for CHRISTMAS
I took my time putting it together ( EVERYTHING )
Hung in my room for a couple of years ( SAFELY )
But, you know how things go
I might have to look for it…
Thanks for putting this together……. CHRIS 🇺🇸

I have this one but I altered the wings so they would fit on a G gauge train flatcar to displayed with my train cars. The 2 wings are on one car and the body on a the other flat car with the panels open so you can see the details.

Another interesting build idea! Dad said he never built this one, unfortunately, but it looked like it would be a nice one. Thank for sharing!

This 1/24th scale Mustang (and the Spitfire) were originally Airfix kits produced under license by MPC. (They also had a Bf-109 and a Ju-87 Stuka in the same series.) As a sidebar, in 1973, $4.24 is worth around $29.61, according to the online Inflation Calculator. Either way, this would be a bargain for this impressive model. At those prices, I wouldn't be too surprised if model car builders would have been tempted to grab one or two of these bad boys to use the Packard-Merlin in custom drag or show rods . . . .
Thanks for sharing this with us. 3rd like.

Dad said this kit looked like it was a quality, detailed model, including that engine. ;-) Unfortunately, he never built it but I bet it's a beauty when completed. Thanks for the information and for watching!
