Thanks mate! Normally I find these videos to be people showing off. But this genuinely helped me fix mine :) I've got The Big Larry 2. So they're basically the same it seems.
Hey man that helped me maybe assemble back my correctly. My I had that black plastic washer ring next to the copper spring but from your video it follows after it on the top of the led circuit board. I did think that was the issue I assembled wrong and not getting the whole battery electric circuit completing the loop. Thank for your help!
Thank you very much for posting this. I have NEBO's Patriotic design of this light and the switch has completely failed. NEBO is sending a new light out to me, but the Patriotic design is no longer being made. Now, knowing what you showed here, I will be able to swap out the bad switch with the switch from the replacement. I will attempt to re-solder the wires back onto the old switch AFTER I receive the replacement, and get my original light up and working. FYI NEBO only warranties their lights for one year, and they do not offer any repair service. Your video has just saved my favorite light.
This helped me, but I probably will have to buy a new one anyway. Mine had a battery stuck in it, so I tried spraying WD-40 in it first. When that didn't work, I found your video. I was able to remove the top with gentle use of some needle nose pliers. You should mention that the LED is glued in place, but it pops off easily enough. After I removed the battery and reassembled it, the red LEDs (along with the white ones) come on in the first two positions, and nothing lights up in the third position. This may be because of the WD-40, I'm not sure.
Thanks, I couldn't figure out how to get the top off. The Nebo batteries corroded inside the light. If I can get the one at the top out I might be able to save the whole thing. I am so tired of corroding batteries in my expensive lights. I used a piece of grip liner, also like the thing to remove lids on jars to unscrew the top button ring.
Something told me that switch should come off/out and suspected it had something to do with what appears to be that (chrome) retaining ring around the button. Thanks!
Have you ever worked on a nebo big daddy flashlight ?? For some the batteries just do not last long at all. I am thinking of resistance of bad circuit design of poor soldering
I beat you to it four years ago..minus the switch disassembly 🤷♂️...I just returned my Big Larry in my video since I had to send back two other lights..we'll see if they send me a new one??
Thank you from another grateful Nero owner with corroded batteries inside (all 3!). This assisted in the strip down, extraction and cleaning. Cheers!
This video helps me get a battery stuck Inside, out of flashlight. Same flashlight I have that's my favorite. Good job.
Fantastic flashlight
