LSE becomes first British university to evict pro-Palestine student encampment

- The London School of Economics (LSE) has become the first British institution to evict its students from an encampment for Gaza after receiving a court order to disperse them.
Dozens of students at the LSE left the Marshall Building on Monday which they had occupied for more than 30 days. Using megaphones and flags, the students continued to make their presence heard as security staff told them to leave the building.
A hearing on Friday at the Central London County Court ruled in favour of the LSE and gave them an interim possession order, requiring the encampment to leave the university building within 24 hours of being served.
A spokesperson for the LSE encampment said they would remain defiant and continue to call for the school to divest despite this latest setback.

We met a man of 80 who walked from the Ukraine in WW2 to get awsy from Russian occupation he lived on grass for a year then from France he managed to get to UK he lost his parents,brothers, sisters,his wife and his children but, he didn't go around begging like you. Shame on all those fools, that think wasting their education could even help. These students camping outside won’t bring you food, water, medical supplies, shelter... because they wasted their education! They could have helped depending on what they chose to do.
If someone took psychology, again they could be flown over to help those traumatised by what’s happened to them. If you care about people, you’d know. The only way to help someone is to know what your doing! With no job they won’t fly over. With no profession what use is there to help people with? And let’s face it, would they fly over if they had the chance? Or are the more rebelling societal issues. Societal issues that ARENT physical ones. They can say they care. But I know otherwise. Take it from me, I’ve had trauma due to a bad experience in hospital. The person who caused that to me, clearly suffered trauma himself. On a daily I care about what he highlighted. I also know some of his beliefs were highly questionable and he probably shouldn’t be operating on people in his state of mind. Let’s say, said doctor didn’t work hard to reach his dreams. Watching illness take over his village like it did. He worked hard! He didn’t stand outside threatening to starve himself. He himself knew a lot more about physical world problems than societal ones. Imagine if all inspiring doctors just camped outside for Gaza. How would it fix anything?! DO IT AFTER WHEN YOU ARE THE PROFESSION YOU CHOSE. You know when people will actually listen and not think your a loser who can’t decide on blue or green hair.
