Nice. However it does have me questioning some of the decisions of the people in charge. They have one of the baddest tenor players in the country and they have you playing a Casio keyboard on the sideline? That's like having the best Team 6 sniper stay at home on the night of the Bin Laden raid so he could have hot dogs ready for when the others got back.
Eric and another tenor drummer both arrived to the Drum Corps at the same time, a week into learning the show. Drill was only written for 3 spots in the tenor line, and we needed a synth player. Both are great players and people.
I remembering seeing you guys in the lot at one show but I was about to head to the lot to warmup myself but I checked you guys out for a bit and I got to say great job that was bad ass!
I was watching an old video today from the end of 2018 and you mentioned this video. I had to check it out! You look so professional here. I love your bearing during these performances.
Y'all ever just bust out Cadets 2011's percussion break? In all seriousness, you and this ensemble are doing an amazing job. Thank you for your service :)
Very nice closeup of your performance there, EMC! I never realized the sleeves on the jackets taper to the wrist like that. You all seem to be approx the same size too - unlike in drum corps where every body type and measurement exists. How tall are you?
I am curious as to what your medals are and I am very ignorant. I tried to google them but failed. I was trying to find what the one on the left is, and in this video it looks like it could possibly be the National Defense Service medal but I am not sure. Anyone more informed than me know what they are? Hopefully it is not rude to be curious.
The orange and yellow is the National Defense Service Medal for serving during a time of war (currently the War on Terrorism, Sept 11, 2001-present). The blue is the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, a little bit harder to explain, but basically like the NDSM but only for the Global War on Terrorism. Neither medal is for serving in conflict. Each is awarded to everyone currently serving.
@@aero5194, the Marine next to him, as well as the other two, it appears, have a Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal for 3 consecutive years of not getting caught and a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal which doesn't really require explanation.

@@iTactiiCz I'm just giving them a hard time. :)
Jay Privacy I totally agree, he’s most likely the best in the corps, and in the country.
Well mabye the best team 6 sniper also makes bomb ass chili dogs.
Jesse Williams true, never underestimate the power of a good chilli dog

I'm a Sythn in my High School band. And it's so cool to see the tech we use being used. Even the same cart
Watching again. Love the professional look. Awesome, Eric!
That's some dope Mainstage programming.
Awesome man!!! I enjoyed your guys show this year
As someone who has played keys for marching band, and an avid user of MainStage, I’m so happy to see this!!
If you’re ever looking for a side gig, theatres pay people to program Mainstage files for musicals.
EMC doing his duty for all the synth players out there

I didn’t expect to see you playing synth. Did you like playing synth?
They let you bring the watch on field?
That opener sounds a lot like 160 Bpm by Hans Zimmer; the same opener my band is doing this year. Coincidence? I think NOT.
Nick Sebesta it sounds like 160 BPM because it is

Can you give a video of your experience in the USMC, like bootcamp, auditions, all of that?
Nice video! What a show.. What software/instruments sis you used?
Part of the score is from Bluecoats 2010
Isaac Cheng the score is from a lot of differnt show and other arrangements
And where did the Bluecoats get it from?
When did you start learning syn...uhhh...what???
How would i become a member of the front enssemble? Can you request a certain instrument or group in the USMC
You audition for certain spots as they become available

They’re not tapered. Look at the inside of his right sleeve and you’ll see a safety pin

How did they not see the camera? Isn’t filming during a DCI performance (Excluding during a Victory Run) against the rules?
The Marines are performing in exhibition. Go find the multiple videos on RUclips of their DCI performances.
