This is great. Why did you write sakila for the database? When looking at your SQL server screen, I didn't see this.
I have to keep my PC on for refreshes in PBI service.. How can I chuck out my PC's involvement..and refreshes happens directly

If I transform the data in Power BI, will it change or if a new table or data is added in mysql server, will the changes be reflected in power BI ?

I'm connecting to a mysql server on Ubuntu. I created a seperate user that can connect to the database from an other server.
When i enter my credentials, i get an error "Details: "An error happened while reading data from the provider: 'One or more errors occurred.'"
Any tips?
When I try to open the MySQL database connector, it comes out the following :

Not solve problem it's required one or more connectors I have downloaded net connector and odbc connector but not solve my problem 😢

I seem to have issues connecting to my database. Having the error "An error happened while reading data from the provider: 'Character set 'utf8mb3' is not supported by .Net Framework.'" - The only place I can find utf8mb3 mentioned is 'character_set_system' under 'other' in the system variables everything else is utf8mb4 and I am unable to change this
after some trial and error i found out that not every connector works with every version of power bi and SQL. Try mine-

Power BI 2.116.966.0 64-bit (April, 2023)
mysql-connector-net-8.0.28.msi
mysql-connector-odbc-8.0.32-winx64
Windows 11 (64-bit operating system, x64-based processor)
Hi, I have the database in office and when i work in office everything is ok. However If I try to edit query in my home. there is an error it says 'DataSource.Error: MySQL: Host '' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server'
create an user is mysql server then grant all permission to this user and after that access this user remote

You need to install the mysql driver that is compatible with your system. Then restart the system and try connecting it.

No I had't faced this issue so didn't dig into it.

Not really sure why its saying that...you may have to dig little bit more into it.

MySQL - 8.0.33 (MYSQL Community Server- GPL)
There is an error that pops when I try to connect Power BI to MYQSL. Does anyone have a fix to this?

is "127.0.0.1" standard for all?
no...in a production env. it will be a different number. This is the standard address when my sql is on local system.
