From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Steeler was a heavy metal band from the German city of Bochum formed in 1981. The band was active between 1981 and 1988. The founding members consisted of Peter Burtz on vocals, Axel Rudi Pell on guitar, Tom Eder also on guitar, Volker Krawczak on bass and Jan Yildiral on drums. The band was named after "Steeler", a song from Judas Priest album British Steel. The band released two albums with this lineup, one a self-titled album, Steeler, and the other titled Rulin' the Earth. After the first two albums, Krawczak was replaced by Roland Hag; this new lineup released two more albums, Strike Back and Undercover Animal. After this the band split up. Pell went on to start a successful solo career under his own name, with Krawczak on bass. His solo band is still performing and releasing songs to this day. AH, one of those misunderstandings from reading rather than hearing. It is a GRRRREAT album too. For ME, their first is #1 (best they did) but I'm happy to see that others remember Steeler. To me, this is Pell's BEST work.
Hello. I'm not meaning to disrespect you, but perhaps turn you on to some other releases by the PHENOMENAL BAND. I believe this is the second album by Steeler. The first is simply titled "Steeler" (NOT the one with Malmsteen) with black background and the Steeler "razor blade" logo. All 4 of the Pell Steelers were released in Japan (TECP 22098, 22099, 0096, 0097).
First 2 albums seemingly released in Japan are Russian bootlegs. I did research on the possibility to release them officially on CD but copyright issues are tough. Besides band members don't see the point as CDs don't sell much nowadays. If I personally ever make enough money I'll do it myself as I know who owns the copyrights. Axel and Peter at least have nothing against reissues of everything is done right and not as crooked as before.

Very good. The singer was the only downside in this. But he sounds a lot better in Undercover Animal.
