One thing I don’t understand when combining these two items smoke and Carbon Monoxide?
Carbon Monoxide, Is heavier than air so it will stay lower to the ground and smoke detectors are generally mounted higher up, so how could this be beneficial?
Correct me if I’m wrong? This is more of a question. But would you mail a smoke alarm down to the ground and expect it to alert you of smoke which smoke alarms are supposed to be mounted above doorways or ceilings and the opposite for
Carbon Monoxide detector/alarm? By all means correct me if I’m wrong
Great question! The answer is simpler than you might think. While CO is less dense, it's only marginally less dense than air. It still will distribute itself over a space. So having it on the ceiling will not be a problem, especially since the source would likely start on a lower floor and would have to rise to get to the bedrooms. If you have concerns about that then I would suggest getting a cheap ten battery one to wall mount near your bedroom doors or ducts.
Can this be configured so that all alarms sound when one detects fire. And will it work if the wifi is down or the internet is down? Thanks
How you know what the square footage recommendation is?
By doing research rather than putting it on someone else to do for you. The Internet is a wonderful thing. Give it a try.
Great review Eric
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Thanks for the heads up on these Eric!
Happy to help!
Why doesn't X-Sense offer a hardwired version? These will not pass code where I live and many other places. There are very few hardwired smart co/smoke detectors.
Chinese company with poor service record
They do??
Just ordered the 3 pack. Great find and thank you Eric!
Happy to help!
Wifi smoke alarms.. definitely very useful but something I never would have thought of

App connected smoke alarms.. it sounds dumb at first, but you raise very valid points, lol

Happy to help!
not sure its a good idea to use propane in a closed environment..thats asking for trouble
I always crack a window and the garage isnt air sealed so its usually not as issue. However, you never know so thats why I added one of these
@@EricReviews A propane leak won't be detected by a CO detector or smoke detector. You have to have a PROPANE detector like they have in RVs.
OK? I don’t think this is stating that It detects, propane, or gas for that matter other than Carbon Monoxide
Really cool. triggering the fire department makes this similar to commercial detectors
Yep!
I don’t think I would go that far comparing this to a commercial grade detector alarm alert is like comparing a pumpkin to a watermelon. This doesn’t have nearly the technology sensors or quality of a commercial grade. Just FYI.
I love your eview
