I sure enjoyed watching this video, mostly BECAUSE of the jokes. Otherwise it would just be one of those videos where they try to scare us by just giving the facts without anything else. Here, it gives a relaxing feeling to this video and make me simply think : "Wow, that's rather surprising/interesting" rather than "Mom, I'm scared of the big space threats"

If he really wanted to get more add revenue, why not just make several short clips of collectively comparable length which state a bunch of "facts" while offering no back-story or in-depth explanation like so many other channels that do countdowns? Or better yet, just reuse the same countdown that some other channel has already done like so many other channels do instead of finding interesting and generally unfamiliar content.
It occurs to me that the uploader might not be so moronic as to put in extra time and effort just to risk upsetting their well-established audience with bloated videos so that they can put one extra add. It occurs to me that, maybe, they did not even know how long the video would be when they began making it, but then it was kind of long, so they added the add.. because they could.

I sure enjoyed watching this video, mostly BECAUSE of the jokes. Otherwise it would just be one of those videos where they try to scare us by just giving the facts without anything else. Here, it gives a relaxing feeling to this video and make me simply think : "Wow, that's rather surprising/interesting" rather than "Mom, I'm scared of the big space threats"
