- The family of a 62-year-old man killed while in the custody of Atlanta police wants the officer who used a Taser on him arrested. The family of Johnny Holloman finally viewed the body camera video that shows the church deacon in custody during the last few minutes of his life.

Why was a person being arrested for a traffic accident? it's a ticket.
He was being arrested because he refused to sign the ticket. That's how it works. Signing the ticket works like bail. It's not an admission of guilt, just a promise to appear, or simply pay the fine if you don't contest the ticket.
If you REFUSE to sign the ticket police are REQUIRED by law to arrest you, and you sit in jail until your court date.
The "deacon" not only refused to sign the ticket, he violently resisted arrest and attacked the police officer. A civilian nearby actually came to the police officer's aid.
Why the "deacon" couldn't handle things like a civilized human being is unknown.

Yes, that's what you have to do! If there is injustice take it up with the police chief or all the way up the chain of command if need be, even the local media if you feel its necessary.
I been pulled over alot in different states..it's always a smooth transition. Cops always professional w me...different racial cops tooo. Never been a issue.

In states that require you sign a paper acknowledging that you'll pay the fine or go to court. When I've been given that option, I've always chosen to sign it instead of being arrested. Try ending your question with a question mark if you actually want an answer. Wipe your butt after you use the toilet. Set a RUclips profile picture. Put clothes on before you leave the house. Otherwise you might just say and do some stupid things. Congrats.

Also, it is said he was reaching through his window for the citation when the cop suddenly attacked. Try paying attention o what is actually said in a video before you make a comment - Otherwise you might just say and do some stupid things. Congrats.

Publix shouldn't have to beg or the court system or the lawyers for body cam footage whenever they think they're right. It's out the next day and we want to be transparent, but when they're wrong it takes forever to get the body cam footage and sometime you never get it which should be against the law

We DO know the "deacon" was so violently resisting arrest a civilian came to the aid of the police officer. That in itself is quite unusual.

That showing out just looks rediculous. We have buried 18 family/ friends in 6 years . We lost 5 in 1 week, 3 from the same car accident, almost half in accidents, our son murdered. Several new stories, and interviews. None of us acted like this and we loved our people very much, but we also weren't grabbing up lawyers either.

We need to see the pertinent body cam footage of the arrest and custody PUBLICLY. So many of these stories have turned out to be complete hoaxes...not saying this one is, but how many times have we gotten the "oh he was a good boy" narrative and the body cam footage ends up proving that the use of deadly force by the police was 100% authorized? Let's see the entire context around it and then we can decide if excessive force was used or if the death was somehow accidental. And if excessive force was used, or used inappropriately, then punish the officers.

I know you aren't particularly intelligent but he wasn't being arrested for the accident. He refused to sign the ticket. That is an arrestable offense in every state.
Signing the ticket isn't an admission of guilt. It's merely a promise to appear. It's essentially like bail. By refusing you are denied that bail and must be arrested and sit in jail until your court date.
The "deacon" then got violent and resisted arrest. The officer tased the violent savage. Unfortunately this was one of the rare occasions a taser actually worked. But actions have consequences. The "deacon" would still be alive if he had behaved like a civilized human being.
