We actually have a childhood association with these woods in common then - I believe it may have been Brasov where my grandparents visited in the early 90s, and saw the bears and wolves heading down into the town for the restaurant bins at night. I actually went back with a local guide after dark to see whether there was any activity, but it was too bloody scary after a few minutes of being in there without a torch!
