Then again, maybe it was only her perception. As the game shows, her mother and sister were by her side when she was dying. And this is even if she and Daffodil were the only ones near the Everdoor.
girl, i actually cryed a lot when i started listening to the las song... my goodness, the voice, the melody, also they linked that piece of music to each departure... they made an incredible job with this game.
@@CalamityCalling I really need it to during these times. Funny I'm single live alone and spend literally hours with a good friend mining everything yet holding ourselves back from the narration...its a dude thing lol

Indeed Stella in the end had none to hug, but after some updates they added a "Spirit" called Lily (i call it "spirit cuz lily isn't dead), basically that changed the end of the game, cuz Lily was till the end with Stella (the prood is that there's butterflies in the boat while stella is navigating till the everdoor, those butterflies represent Lily), idk if u already watched someone playing that part of the game, also they added some more spirts, Jackie is my personal favorite.
1. No game is truly perfect. I did get some errors now and then but it's really inconsequential to the progress and story. A wonderful game, coming from me who likes combat and action-based games. 2. As to who's the next Spiritfaerer, I would think that it doesn't matter. I think the pt is that the role doesn't have to be formally assigned. As long as one can help someone meaningfully in the last moments of their lives (family, friends, or a complete stranger), they are a Spiritfaerer.
It really is such a beautiful game, it felt like it had real heart and I enjoyed myself immensely when I played it. I love that theory, it does make me sad to know that there is no "happy" ending to taking the role though
@@CalamityCalling I think that depends on the perspective though. While I agree that the role of a Spiritfarer may seem to be a "lonely" path, the fact that Lily and her mom being at Stella's bedside despite that only Stella and Daffodil were near the Everdoor tells me that Stella found a sense of peace in her final moments by being with the people who cares for her. I think it may even challenge the perception that such a role is not a lonely one at all because one is never really alone no matter how far people they are (whether they are in the real or spirit world).
I wish there was a new Spiritfarer at the end that guides Stella through the Everdoor, so we could get some thoughts from her the way everyone else does 😥
@@CalamityCalling I'm not even sure I understood the game my first couple of play throughs, it was just an amazing experience though. Then I dived into the story potentially being told and it's just so elegant. It's hard to put into words what makes it good too.
This game is a life lesson, in every way... An experience of life, love and farewell... One of the best gaming experience I've had in recent years.
Completely agree!
I loved it so much! I also enjoyed that there wasn't a dramatic good/bad ending - just life to death.
It makes me saddest that stella ferried all these people and spirits to the door but in the end there was no one there with her
That bit had me sobbing all over again! 😭
Dandelion was there with her 🥺
Dandelion was her real ride or die ♥️
Then again, maybe it was only her perception. As the game shows, her mother and sister were by her side when she was dying. And this is even if she and Daffodil were the only ones near the Everdoor.
Daffodil was with her the whole time
When she hugs the cat I can't stop sobbing😭
I love that they allowed us to do it, it's such a sweet moment ☺️
Daffodil ❣

The music is so lovely and it made me cry, but I felt much better after ☺️
I love this game! Not enough people talk about it. I cried so many times.
So glad to know I wasn’t the only one crying in the end
It was such a sad ending, but I'm happy that Stella got to rest
@@CalamityCalling Agreed :) Overall she seemed to be at peace with it and had Daffodil at her side. Wherever they went, at least they went together.
Daffodil is the best companion she could ask for 🥰
Thanks for sharing this with us! Not easy to go through a game and ending like this over a video stream.
What a beautiful game.
One of the greatest games I've ever played. So unique and I will not forget this experience.
I definitely agree! There's nothing quite like it!
Currently playing through this game its melting me
It will melt you down to a puddle and build you all the way back up! ☺️

Such a great game! Bought it as gifts more than a few times. Gwen is the one I cry the most at! OMG
That's such a lovely gift idea!
I loved Gwen's story, her past made me sad for her though
I'm a 40 year old man, and I'm crying all over again

I played the farewell update for myself when it launched and really enjoyed the addition. I'm not sure who my favourite character is though 😊

@@7swordquanta459 That is a really lovely perspective of the situation. I very much want to believe that Stella didn't have to be alone
i finally finished the game. i watched spoilers and this video. but, i still cried. stella... daffodil... T_T

I cried ;w;
i've never dared to end tha game. maybe one day
It's a bittersweet ending for certain, I don't think I could play the ending again 😭
Mine glitched and Stella went in backwards 😆
I'm curious! 🤣

Is there anyone to tell the story of Atul?
Atul was one of my favourites, he left quite early for me though 😭
@@CalamityCalling i didn't like frogs but until i met Atul.
He was such a sweetheart 💙
Atul’s story on his leaving was about a family member leaving / passing on too sudden and unexpected :(

Play Journey!
I recently played it for myself, so unfortunately I won't be bringing it to the channel. Thank you for the suggestion though ☺️

I think it's very cinematic and tells a deep story in a very powerful and simple way, you? 😊
