Per il terzo appuntamento con il Deutschland Tour 2023 ci spostiamo in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern presso l'azienda Landboden Glasin di Glasin, dove troviamo operativo uno dei pochissimi Claas Xerion di nuova generazione serie 12.
Il modello che possiamo vedere in questo video è il top di gamma 12.650 Terra Trac, che monta un motore a 6 cilindri Mercedes-Benz 15600 cc per 657 cavalli di potenza massima, abbinato ad un erpice a dischi Horsch Joker 12 RT con una larghezza di lavoro di 12,25 metri.
Il secondo mezzo invece è un Claas xerion 4500 di prima generazione, con motore 6 cilindri Caterpillar C13 12500 cc per 483 cv al lavoro su stoppie di colza abbinato ad uno strigliatore Wallner da 12,6 metri.

Yes. The smaller tractor can be used for anything like forestry but the bigger tractor is for towing large grain carts harrows ect.

@@edoardoangela7031not so. If you got a tractor like that it can dtop the compaction of the soil snd also it may be that thry wanted a high HP tractot to do more then just weeding. Its a wide machine too.
That Claas 12-650 tractor is an amazing looking piece of kit - very quiet in the cab too. I'm somewhat mystified as to the purpose of the yellow harrow type attachment on the Claas 4500 tractor - it doesn't seem to be having any effect on the ground, and indeed it's not even touching the ground in some of the shots - seems like a totally pointless exercise, given the cost of diesel fuel these days.
This is a Hackstriegel (hoeing harrow?) which is used for mechanical weed control, it's mostly used to avoid chemical weedkillers which is why it is mainly used in organic farming. A tractor pulls the Hackstriegel across the field and the downward-pointing metal hooks pull out the small weeds in the upper soil layer and bury them. The stronger crops (e.g. beet, wheat, etc.) remain standing.
What 4500 was doing??
The harrow is used for seed germination of weeds.

Non capisco perche non lo fanno anche loro articolato,penso che a livello costruttivo sia piu semplice e anche a livello di raggio sterzata sia un po piu impacciato soprattutto in versione trak
a parer mio il xerior 12.650 è un aborto della serie xerion per il fatto che per un trattore da 650cv ha un passo troppo corto , marmita che sta sotto la cabina che è una stufa sotto i piedi e il serbatoio dellgasolio incorporato a quello dell'urea posto dietro alla cabina piu' faticoso da ragiugere per fare rifornimento riducendo la visibilita' posteriore con un ridimensionameto ridotto del lunotto.
secondo me siamo in un epoca dove le case costutrici o gruppi stanno andando in crisi per il fatto che c'è molta richiesta di trattori nuovi e potenti ma non riescono a fare progetti di modelli nuovi o se riescono escono degli scempi come questo .
sono abastanza convinto una volta l'altra qulche casa costrutrice come la class,fendt e challenger presenta le carte in tribunale per dichiarare fallimento peche' non sono in grado di stare su con le spese esorbitanti di realizzazione e di costuzione di modelli nuovi .

But you could run that straw rake with 200hp. The tracked one has its with set wrong in the GPS. It's overlapping nearly a meter each run. So running 8% inefficient. Really clever on a tractor costing nearly €1m.
