I want to begin by giving thanks for all the beautiful comments I got on my previous video. You have no idea how much it meant to me to receive all your love and support. THANK YOU!
Now here comes a little video from our life right now, in the heart of winter. We continue working on building up our dreams and finding a balance in our creative mess. But we are really getting there now and very soon we will be done with our jewelry project and moving into our new working room in the old barn. That will feel like a wonderful ending on a long chapter.
I also just started painting again, after a long time with no inspiration. In this video I let you see what I'm working on right now and how I make paint out of the ashes and charcoal from our wood stoves in the house.
And of course, a lots of more!

Jonna, I recommend that you wear a mask when you make the pigments. The particles are so tiny, otherwise you breathe them in and they get stuck in your bronchi and lungs, you can get seriously sick.

I usually wear a mask when I am crushing stones/charcoal and making pigments, but I think I totally forgot about as I was filming these scenes haha :D But thank you for caring about my health!

@@eva-nr2bs As a fellow sweden I can answer that. We all learn english in school from a really early age and we practice often and during many years. Another thing that really helps us develope our english is the fact that almost nothing is translated into swedish, instead he have subtitles. Many other countries will dub english movies, tv-shows etc into their own language, but in Sweden we keep the origial language and add subtitles. Therefor we are exposed to it often. Hope that helped. :)

I‘m diagnosed with many mental illnesses that i struggle with daily and every time i see one of your videos it calms me down and makes me feel better
I hope that You are well. I will share a RUclips channel that might help you. It has many interesting videos and informations about life in general. I actually went through depression and that channel,amongst other things has helped me alot and Thats why I am recomending it. The channel is Mary Jane Maxwell, go through the videos from the beggining of the channel and work your way up. I wish You all the best and no matter what You will do in this life, remember You are loved, You deserve the best and You shall have it!
It is easier said than done to stay away from grain and sugar. Whole grain and brown rice are good, lean proteins as well. As a bigger person with a lot of mental illnesses too, I started to detox, using apple cider vinegar gummies, protein drinks and 8/16 fasting. It hasn’t helped much but it has certainly improved my mental health and I’ve found that working out without a purpose makes me more depressed. But you did not ask for advice and I didn’t want to tag this person the comment beginning is for, just do you, if you’re young, save up as much as you can if you want to go get away and live like her :) I want to!

depends what shes eating do my dogs live in the city but I make them home made fresh food. I feel bad for dogs who eat out a can or kibble for their whole lives. its so sad my first dog got really sick from eating that.

I get the impression that all the work she, her husband and her family put in with the house, business and daily living are not care free (which is a lovely thought) but she shows many of the carefree moments on video, which is her 'theme'. More importantly, as you pointed out, she has an appreciation of the beauty around her (us). It's a lovely goal and if you truly want to live like that (and are prepared to work for it) there's nothing permanently stopping you. Perhaps the first thing to do is change your location, making that your first goal and live where you will have the life you wish for. All the best.
To live a life like her i'd say it take a lot of hard work.

As much as I dislike the cold, I miss having a proper winter in Denmark with ice and snow.
Me too, in Holland where I live there havent been a proper winter.

Same here in Switzerland. We can go high up in the mountains to find it, but down in the plains we went from fall to spring, just skipping winter... The trees are blooming in early Feb!

In Turkey , weather is becoming "tropical" day by day. In my city , I remeber that we couldn't open our house's door for two weeks because of 2 meters of snow. Now , its just windy and cloudy. We dont see sun but its still hot. Just like hell. :)
I love the part where you mention that you love how the charcoal that you use to make the paint is from wood that kept your house warm. For me this is such an incredible example that living and being so close to nature as are you, truly can bring back to life our purest form of living and feeling the love for all that surrounds us on the one hand and the calm and excitement of being alive on the other. For me, this is what I felt watching this. Thank you for that!!

I felt the same, also keeping in mind the magic of how trees capture the fire of the sun as light turned to carbon, only to sacrifice themselves so that we can release that light and fire when the time is right. How fitting that the remaining ashes are changed, through love, into something beautiful.
@@jonnajinton people often come up with such tricks and hacks to reuse old/waste things, infact we Indians are world famous for it, it's called 'jugaad'😁
But I have never seen someone come up with such spiritual thinking behind a 'jugaad'.
These woods kept my home warm and now i give them a new value through my art.... beautiful......🥰😘😍

I often think a lot about having any sort of significance in this world, if I'm doing anything useful or if my life really has a meaning to anyone, even to myself.
Thinking about such things can bring one's spirit down a lot and I'm definitely not the only one feeling this way but each time I watch some video like yours, especially yours, it reminds me that not everyone has to be useful in this world and that it's okay to just be alive and appreciate the wonderful things life can give you.
I'm so very lucky just to be able to watch and admire people like you that get so much inspiration from the world around them and create so many beautiful things. Your music, your paintings, your jewelery, the beautiful wonders of nature that you share with us. It makes me feel alive.

As a fellow female painter, I just want to say that I am SO happy to hear you are painting again after that awful event. I cannot imagine the pain of having my studio space, which is also in my home, invaded and destroyed in such a way, and my work desecrated. As artists our work is our souls on display, and such a violent violating act must have hurt so deeply. I am so sorry this happened to you, but I am so glad you have been able to come out on the other side experiencing the joy of painting again! You are so strong, you are an inspiration.

Are there any police department or other systems?
LIving in Australia, I’ve found this summer very depressing in the clinical sense. Droughts and record temperatures, unprecedented fires, democracy in chaos here and overseas, melting glaciers, pandemics, traditional media under attack, fake news everywhere and uncertain futures for our kids and grandkids. But here I’ve just found 10 minutes of peace. Thank you so much.

I live in New Zealand, and our countries have always had strong social and political ties, so it really hurts to see all the terrible things you're dealing with, especially the wildfires. So much of Australia's is wildlife unique to that country and it would be horrible if it disappeared. I hope the forests recover, and I hope the aboriginal people can be allowed to continue their tradition of back burning to prevent this from happening in tne future.

I watche your videos Jonna and I am thinking my life before two years when I was in Black Forest in Germany. I lived there 4 years and now I am in München and I miss the nature the forest so much! I want to go back so badly!

Ya its been sold out for almost a year now, we have only sold 2-3 designs lately.
The demand became to much and therefor we wanted to rearrange everything and make things better for the future :)

Your Videos come right at the moment when I need them. Here spring has sprung and winter never came. Almost no snow - dirt and rain for 4 -5 months. Looking to something different inspires me. I wish everybody would be able to see and relive the changing of seasons - it is important for us to experience the constant movement

Your videos inspire me to find my own "wonderland" and to connect with nature where and when I can. I live in a city, so it has to be more intentional that I would prefer. I dream of the time when we can sell our current home and find our own wilderness
