Boston College High Eagles vs Malden Catholic Lancers | February 5, 2025

In a Catholic Conference match Wednesday night between Malden Catholic and Boston College high it was the Lancers who would dominate this matchup. The Lancers defense suffocated the Eagles forcing multiple turnovers and contested shots.
Senior Matt Gaffney led the way for the Lancers with 26 points to go along with five assists and one steal, big man Aboubakar Nimaka notched a double double with 15 points, 11 rebounds and six blocks.
With the win the Lancers won their third straight Catholic Conference regular season crown and are positioning themselves for a number one seed for the state tournament.
Gaffney is also inching closer to 2,000 career points and is on pace to reach the milestone during the state tournament. The Lancers are back on the court Friday when they host Catholic Memorial.
