The finish on these are not as good as my deep sockets I bought 10 years ago. The ones from 10 years ago are serviceable, but sometimes I find the SAE sockets of the set fits better then the metric on a metric bolt and vice versa. As I just picked up a set of these shallows recently, I am going to give them a try when I do some maintenance on my car this weekend and see if they have improved despite the awful finish.
Those impact socets are cr-v just like your regular chrome shiny sockets. Only difference is the walls of the sockets are thicker to take the impact abuse. So you might find they don't fit you know some places. good impact socket are Cr-mo. Cr-mo is a softer metal blend so it can be made thinner like chrome sockets but takes the impacts better. Your sunex should be cr-mo.
@@TheRuralMinnesotaGuy I have their sunex 1/4 drive impact socket set. And aside from losing my 5/16 and 10mm which I've bought new replacements they are fantastic. I just wish their 3/8 "master" set went to 24mm and 1" SAE and not end at 19mm and 3/4. My 3/8 tekton impact set does go to 24mm and 1" but are CR-V. Great set though too. Only complaint about the Pittsburgh which I have in deep and shallow both SAE and metric are the square drive hole where the anvil goes wollers out over time. Lifetime warranty though. Harbor freight will warranty out the whole set. Not just the socket. So don't lose one 🤣

Ah! Sunex seems to be the brand that a lot of people use.
