I'm not surprised that people prefer "wearable" shades over the really spectacular ones. The ones that are crazy unique and over the top are good for clicks but a lot of people don't want to wear them to work because you only have so much time to get ready and you don't want a shade that will be super obvious if it creases throughout your day. Is there like a master list of shades that were mentioned available? I would love to have it as a reference

Moon tide is amazing. I put it on a friend who wanted an alien mermaid look and she was like okay well I guess I’m placing an order, previously had zero single shadows
I wore moon tide (with a neutral taupey color in my crease, mood tide on my lid, the taupey neutral on my lower lash line) to my husbands work party. Live band, drinks, food, etc type setting. I had people staring at my eye balls all night amazed at the shift and the sparkle haha. I even had one lady stop and hold eye contact with me as I walked past 😂
I was the one who said mural wasn't worth the hype 😅 and I even said it was a hot take in my post 🤣 but I stand by it, I bought it on one of the restocks and yes it's gorgeous but it looked like absolute garbage on me - but I'm so glad it works for so many others, not all makeup works for everyone and that's ok!

I just made a 335 cad purchase from Shine SD. My first purchase of multi chrome eye shadows. I am sure I'll get hooked. And newbie recommendations? I'll need a magnetic pan for the singles I purchased but that's all I know.

But I totally agree about Ice Blink because it’s amazing ❤ and I think that Glass Bull from CP absolutely sucks. I think it was my first “duochrome” but it really isn’t that great. I’ve worn it multiple times before I started getting into actually good eyeshadows from indie brands- it always looked ok at first but would fade within a couple hours (never have that issue!) I have a few other singles from CP, I must have gotten them back in 2019 and some of them are so bad! I know one of them will be the shadow I would’ve given to my arch nemesis 😂

Also I just want to state for the record that the reason my sbsd collection is so small is that I don't get on well with their formula 😢 I find it to be dry & the feeling of it gives me the shivers. That sounds wild but is true! I still plan on picking up ice blink so hopefully it doesn't go oos too soon!? 🫶
Who chose Mural as an overrated shadow?! No way it’s absolutely beautiful, every time I wear it I get compliments on how pretty it is. 🫨 Awesome video though, love all the shifty sparkles!
Made on Mars and Falling Star from TM are my two favorite shadows. I wear them to work as my one and done. 🙈 I prefer the satin texture and I love the now-you-see-it now-you-don't effect. I am in the minority here but I'm hoping for more like them.
Wow not sure who submitted these answers but I didn’t agree a lot. Touch of glam is my all time favorite brand.. TOTALLY under rated. I feel like people put their feelings on how long it takes to get them a review on its actual quality and that’s just false.. they also can sheer out and not just be opaque . I’m more into opaque shifty shadows and not wearable sheers so that might be why it’s on my tops. But my top three brands in order. Is Touch of glam, Terra moons., and shinebysd. Clionadh got kicked off the top three. 💀
I have really only heard positive things about the quality of the shadows themselves! I have only tried their NYBB palette (they sent it to me to do swatches) and I didn’t have any negative thoughts about the quality. They weren’t my favorite in terms of finish/texture but I was happy with the looks I created. I know they have a bunch of different formulas tho!
copacetic has some rly great gems, they're definitely my picks for underrated shadows. Love seeing all the differing opinions, except whoever said they didnt like m51, it's okay to be wrong!!
it was really cool to see the data on all the responses oh I'm definitely an outlier then 😅 I prefer impractical ANY DAY over wearable or "sweatpants" lol. I've not tried SbSD (yet) but they're probably next of my list of brands to try it's okay to be wrong @ whoever doesn't like the cosmos 😂

This was so.interestjng. I'm 🤣🤣at the overhauled cat gory because I think I totally understand why these are all there. My feeling is how they translate into some.people,'s lids. I have pretty much all of them and they are beautiful work of arts until I try to wear them (with the exception of red giant). It took me awhile to get the Jewelled shades from Clionadh and I have to say, if you have very deep skin tone and love Jewelled tone color, these were made for you. I have 10 of them and have to stop myself from getting the rest because some are similiar. I have some of these types of shades also from Terra Moon's, ShinebySD and Devinah. I would wear these every day because of how complimentary they are to my deeper skin tone.
red giant, zero gravity, hot spiced cidar, dark energy, antares.............all fun but still wearable for work. any of the more sparkly ones like the cosmos and atlas just dont work for work lol but they do work for every other day. i have starburst and cant figure out how to get the most of it ugh! I too LOVE sparkle but in reality i wear the "more wearable shifty" ones better.
I am just learning about multichromes and have a question. Do all multichromes have sparkles? I am attracted to the color shifts, but I don’t really like sparkles. Are there any you would recommend without sparkles?
There are all different formulas! There are more “jeweled” shiny formulas, smooth formulas, sparkly, and then chunky textured formula. I have a few “comprehensive guide to ___ brand” videos where I describe texture and finish of a bunch of different shades!
You might love the Clionadh duochromes. I do! Much lower price point but still stunning. I have most of them, but give the award to Fog. It's like, haunting. Such a pretty, smooth, blurring murky teal with a strong gold shift. Shroom, Toadstool, Prophecy, and Permafrost are all amazing too.
i have multichromes and duochromes and shimmer from terra moons. some of the "shimmer" actually have a duochrome finish like dark energy. also you dont have to pick the expensive ones to get a good shift. some of my "wearable" aka not SUPER sparkly shades are red giant (expensive), zero gravity (expensive), antares (decent price), dark energy (cheap and shifty!), hot spiced cidar (cheap). Phoenix (expensive) is not sparkly but very very BRIGHT and pretty i just dont gravitate towards it for work purposes. the ones i have that are sparkly that you would NOT like are The Cosmos, Atlas, and Starburst. Large Mica particles are generally sparkly and harder to use.

Indie special shades cannot be beat, but the mattes from mainstream are better. Viseart, Natasha Denona, and PML are the best mattes in my opinion. I made my first order from Shine SD, I bought the Duality 2.0, and hope it is good.
100% agreed about the mattes! ViseRt and ND are my absolute favorites, I’m still getting use to the PML matte formula but learning how to really enjoy it.
