I was among the front of a runnng crowd like that getting celebrity autographs. There were about a 20 of us that were far enough ahead that when we got to our destination, caught our breath, we could hear what was happening elsewhere in the building and the explosion of sound as they turned to the area we were in. Hearing hundreds run behind you is amazing. It's how I image musicians feel everytime they get on a stage with a large crowd.
